I waited to write a review until I had the chance to install and use this awning. Ths company has great customer service. The roller had a defective section. The company quickly delivered a replacement part. No hassles. You must use their e-mail address and be specific about your needs.I am enjoying the awning. I assembled it myself. The instructions are a bit confusing, but it does make a strong effort to inform. I had a friend help me with rolling the fabric onto the roller and attaching the final assembly to the house. It went smoothly. I recommend being patient and taking your time with assembly. I am pleased with the results.

I just assembled and installed a few days ago. It seems pretty well made. Opens and retracts as it should. I cannot speak to longevity. Should not be left open all the way on breezy days. As to some comments about instructions. If you have put things together before and take your time. You should not have much problem. Lay parts out. A second set of hands will be necessary. Overall i think its a good value for money. Note: one part had a crack. Contacted seller who sent out a new part within days. Seller was responsive.

You need to be a 10 to put this together, It took my wife and myself 4 hr and this could kill you if you don't know what your doing , if you cut the straps that are holding the arms together it will open so fast and if you face was in the way for get about it. My wife said cut this tie strap and it came open like a jet. Our fault but it should have had a warning that told you do not cut straps. It had something but was taped over. it came in two parts did not fit that easy and had to grind the corners to put it together. I gave this 5 star because it is made well and looks good, I would buy another one as I understand how it goes together now.

This is not a quality awning but the price was low so I got what I paid for I guess. The small front rail came bent and scratched. Working on getting that replaced now. The instructions are not complete, there was a page separate from the booklet about the roller arm......we were passed that point when it was found and already frustrated with the poor directions! Then fine tuning the arms so it rolls up correctly was just as fun and as long as assemblIng the awning. That was possibly due to the front bent rail but overall frustrating start to finish. Buyer beware

Was happy with the product, it was fairly easy to assemble and install.

1) Hardware as compared to my old awning is of a lesser quality - so save your old bolts and handle!2) No switching of the handle left or right only attaches on Left.3) Material is already unraveling at the center seam endpoint.4) And this is the biggest frustration; Instructions are really Really REALLY bad and hard to follow.*Not sure if any of the other manufacturer's have these issues tho!*It does look good. +1 Star

Yes, getting it assembled and up was a difficult task, people are not overreacting. The whole process took my husband about six hours and we ended up with a piece that we have no idea where it was supposed to go. However, the canopy looks GORGEOUS and we get so many compliments on it! Six hours of frustration were well worth the years of shade and comfort that this product will provide.

Final review after install.Still not able to give 5 Stars, 4 Stars best I can give and that is for poor instructions for install.But, everything else from the material and how it is built is to the tech/help is a 5 star.My suggestion is when you buy and receive your canopy, before you start install, ready instructions three and four times and find each piece and how it goes together/with other parts. There will be missing details but an email, like I did, to the manufacturer asking exact questions “how to”, “where it is set to” etc. will get you through it. “Put it all together” on the ground so you can see it all. Obviously you can put it together on the ground but you can enough to see most of the “where does” and “how does” questions.Good luckGiving this item a three star at the offset because of the three items listed below, not major or cannot be overcome, just should be easier for consumer. Working on installing, seems to be going well. Possibly update when complete. Three things the manufacturer could do is provide more/better details. The spacing of hangers (had to contact to find out - response from them were A-1!!!). What else would be helpful (I had to figure) what the height of the top of the canopy bracket is from a fixed point, like from bolt hole in bracket. Told how much space above the canopy is needed, just not where the hanger with bracket would be to keep that distance. Lastly, could have made a note on the main instruction page/picture sequence that there was roller assembly that needs to be installed before joining main tubing, the assembly is in a separate bag/envelope with those instructions.
