This is the 2nd book in the Immortal Descendants series, and it leaves it open for a 3rd. Yes please! Both this and the first book grab the imagination and doesn't let go until the very last word. Each chapter seems to end on a 'cliffhanger' and, if you're like me, I tend to get to the end of a chapter before I have to leave it to do whatever is important enough for me to put this book down, and it's a killer, 'cos you can't wait to get straight into the next chapter to see what happened! The history side of it is another riveting part of the novel, as it's our history that's played out in the heart of the story.Another brilliant novel, and I'm really hoping that there's going to be a 3rd.

As much as I want to enjoy the adventures into history and the implications to the timeline, the story is becoming more and more difficult to believe due to its historical and logical inconsistencies. I wanted to see more developing with the characters in their own timeline, too. A shame for a world with such potential, but I don't think I'll be reading on.

Bought it by accident.
My kindle decided to buy this book, because I hadn't closed the window. Despite that I have enjoyed it thoroughly because of the Elizabeth Connection. I will buy the others in this series but at leisure. The first one was excellent, this second book is good too and deepens the characters somewhat.

Tempting fate
Loved this book. It may have been written for teenagers but as a good friend once said ...if it can win over a teen, with all the alternative distractions available, it has to be a good story. Look forward to number 3 ...

Just my cup of tea
I have such eclectic taste when it comes to books, romance, historical, supernatural, it all tickles my fancy, in Tempting Fate I got three in one, I loved the first in this series & was worried how I'd find the 2nd, I need not have worried, I enjoyed it just as much.

Ripping Yarns meets Twilight by way of Wolf Hall!
A cracking read, compulsive with the action maintained throughout. You have to get your head around relationships, relatives, movement across time, bumping into a colourful range of characters who are also moving around the centuries like nobody's business . Free running, immortals, shape shifters and vampires abound with an edgy heroine leading the charge. Clear Harry Potter references but not too overt and none the worse for that. Enjoyable hokum.
