Living and working ashortwalk from the sea, we are always acutely aware of how useful it is to know what the tide is doing, whether you’re sailing, surfing or just walking the dog on the beach. A wall clock seemed the easiest and most convenient way of displaying the tide, just a quick glance and you can start planning your day. What makes your product special? A tide clock is very functional, it has a very clear and useful purpose rather than just being ‘the next fashion statement’. It genuinely helps people get more from their day and enjoy the sea or coastline which can never be a bad thing. To help the environment all our products are designed with longevity in mind, the clear, simple clean design means it will fit within most tastes and homes and won’t be thrown away because ‘orange’ is no longer in fashion. What has been the best part of your startup experience? Seeing something that was once just an idea, a little something in the back of your mind whilst cutting the lawn come to life, become something tangible, useful, helpful. It’s nice to know that a business you started from scratch is in some way contributing rather than just existing for one persons benefit.

Pretty but flawed
The clock face is very pretty, as seen in the official picture. But what you can't see is that the hands stick out a bizarre amount, almost an inch, and are rather flimsy. And the clock comes in a decorative box that has a hole on the front to show off the design. I should not have removed it from the Amazon box before transporting it, as I ended up messing up the clock hands before ever putting it on the wall.Another design flaw is an unnecessarily thick mechanism, which means that the clock can never be flush to the wall.

Nice combination of clock and tide times but needs to be bigger and clearer for handing on a wall
Too small to be read easily on Kitchen Wall. Nice idea and we wanted the tide function but reluctantly returned it due to difficulty in deciphering the times easily.

Had one of these on the wall for many years until the mechanism recently died. Buying an identical replacement as I like the clean, simple looks. Disagree with other review re ability to read. You know the tide goes in and out roughly every 12 hours - so you know high tide is with the silver hand at the top, low tide at the bottom and you can eyeball it from a distance in between - probably to an accuracy of 30 minutes or so: when do you need better than that?
