I bought this brooder for my 15 baby chicks. It worked great and kept them warm. I like that the legs were adjustable so that I could raise it higher as the chicks got bigger. I also like the clear plate that goes on top. It made it easy to clean when my chicks got big enough and started climbing on top of it.

Simple to assemble and easy to adjust.

Was very easy to set up & use . Chicks loved it. It doesn’t get hot like a heat lamp. Mimics the mother hen. Chicks can rest under it. Haven’t had any issues with chicks getting too warm or developing pasty butt. Happy chick sounds . Would say they definitely approve of it.

I have been hating chicks all summer and decided to go with this instead of a heat lamp it has been working very well and the plastic cover over the top makes for easy cleaning when the chicks are old enough to jump on the top. Satisfied with the purchase.

Perfect size. Good quality and value for the money. Heat seems to be a good temp. No thermometer though so just have to trust the chicks and an additional thermometer. Easy to clean.

I had to purchase a dimmer cord to plug this heater into so it wouldn’t be too hot. I have heard that these shouldn’t get too hot to touch. Also fyi, while I used this on older chicks, I have heard that for brand new chicks, shipped/delivered, they may initially need a heat lamp (watch the featherbrained YouTube video for research backing this), so just an fyi for those just starting out.

why didn't I buy this sooner? Works for my quail, low use of electricity, No more worry of fires, adjustable as they grow, and no loss to chilling. Easy to clean cover for when the little devils (lol) hop up on the cover. The chicks have a natural sequence of day and night as there is no light with this. They squat under it like chicks do under a hen, come out to eat and drink and go back under, quiet quail are happy quail. The people who gave it low rating were not allowing it to heat up for a couple of hours first and you adjust it low so there backs are almost touching it. No more dangerous brooder lamps or light bulbs for me!!

So I thought I was taking a chance and something "less expensive" but didn't have a choice but to try.I was extremely happy with this chick heat plate, It keeps great heat, adjusts easily, has a convenient plate on top to clean up any messes. Sturdy materials.I believe I purchased one of the best plates out there, It was delivered quickly, packaging was clean, product packaging sturdy and pleasant enough for resale or storage. Much safer than I had imagined, nice bright color. Very long cord reached well outside the brooder all the way to the socket. Thank you for making such a quality product affordable and my quail chicks love it.

Works great ..would be nice if it was a little larger ...

This is a good little heat plate. (I personally do not recommend this for young chicks but for our 3 week olds this is okay, but I also have them in a heated cage so that they are never too cold.) Like the small size so I can use this in a smaller cage if I want. They can go under or away when they want.

I love this item! I have peachicks and barnyard chicks in the same brooder and both are thriving with this product! I used heat lamps in the past but they are dangerous and don't give the chicks a night time rhythm. This product is safe and more natural for chicks. Indeed another! 😊

Brooder plate was shipped quickly, item as described. Keeps the babies nice and warm. Came with no instructions but was easy enough to figure out.
