Not a grain filled hot pad, but is ok
I didn’t read the spec, so entirey my fault! I wanted a grain filled “bottle” so was initially surprised to find this was a plastic bag filled with a synthetic paste. Anyway, it’s good, and I can learn to love it. The fabric cover seems to be an excellent insulator and the pack stays hot for ages, but I don’t like the little flap bit at the top.

Handy, Nice Durable Cover
I still use a normal hot water bottle now and then, but this is really handy. It has a nice cover and stays warm for a couple of hours, often longer. I've overheated it a few times and it starts to swell up, so i know it's limits, and I get it very hot to too hot. I love it, I bought the other one with the tartan cover too. I've replaced the inner pack on this one - i was using it constantly and overheated and popped the heat pack when I wasn't paying attention. Quick and easy and no kettles to boil. Recommended!

Sadly nothing like a hot water bottle
I ordered this for my mum who is nearly 80 and still loves her hot water bottles in bed and I was worried about her spilling boiling water on herself. I was so excited to try this bottle and was so disappointed with the results. Don’t get me wrong it does get warm but it definitely doesn’t get hot. It’s the type of bottle I may have given my children when they were younger but certainly doesn’t heat up like a traditional hot water bottle.Be warned, ai tried to return this item as soon as we saw that it didn’t do what it was supposed to, but apparently they don’t accept returns, so be 100% sure you want it.

Great idea
Bought this for the old wit.. sorry mother-in-law, She spilled boiling water over her hand trying to fill her hot-water bottle. This work great, no filling required just pop in micro-wave for a minute or two and that's it, stays hot just like a traditional bottle but without the hassle of filling and emptying the water. old wit.. sorry mother-in-law very please with it and we don't have to worry about her burning herself.Will fit in almost any microwave unless you have a very small one.did you you know that in Russia anyone not willing yo work a minimum 16 hours a week can be thrown into prison

Used as a "Hot water bottle" - even though it doesn't contain water. It retains its heat for hours.Comfortable and easy to heat in a domestic microwave. I heat it in my microwave at High - for 2 1/2 minutes.The pack contains simple heating instructions/warnings.Very safe if instructions are followed.

Does NOT compare to a hot water bottle.
I liked nothing about it. If one filled a hot water bottle to the temperature of a heated Hottie it would NOT scald you if it burst. Also the hottie cools quickly compared to a hot water bottle. after finding the aforesaid out, I learnt the product is Non Refundable, I cannot see that notice, even now I have been told. DO NOT BUY, just put cooler water into your HOT WATER BOTTLE.

Easy way to help pain.
I have osteoarthritis in the hips & my doctor recommended heat to help the pain.This little beauty does the trick perfectly, 2 mins in the microwave (we have a 1000watt oven) & it is just the job. It stays hot for a good 20 mins or more & is so easy to use.
