Operation Barracuda (Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell) Mass Market Paperback – November 1, 2005

This is a wel written and exciting, suspensefull book. It kept my interest throughout the entire book. Keep up the good writing.

Bullitts fly & the spying satellites send their signals in this next chapter of the Splinter Cell. However, having read these first two books of this series, I have not gotten the feel of a Tom Clancy novel of fiction. Except for when the protagonist is socializing, there is quite a bit of suspenseful action taking place. Will read the next book to see if I continue with this series. No errors I could find.

This was such a great read. I was hooked from the first chapter. Over three hundred pages, and I was so into it that I read it all in a week.The author wrote a perfect sequel to the first book in the series. Sam Fisher now travels to the Far East, and with that David Michaels gives such a great representation of Chinese and Asian culture. One of the best spy-characters to ever grace a page. I would highly recommend this read to anyone.

Getting into the splinter cell series. Love the stories. I had opted for a new book and received one that seemed to have wear and tear. I don't think this is just Amazon as I have purchased the other books from other sources in "New" condition and had received books with slight damage for higher prices. The status of the books should be listed wherever they are sold. Good story though.

Enjoyed the action hero and the twist and turns. Enjoyed the read and will get another in the splinter cell series

I am a huge fan of the Tom Clancy Splinter Cell series of games and a huge fan of books based on video game franchises in general. I loved the Splinter Cell novel and figured I should continue reading the book series. I got the urge to read some novels one day and decided I would start up this series again.After reading through Splinter Cell for the dozenth time, I bought the next book in the series Operation Baracuda. And it's a pretty good book. It's not as good as the first one, however. The plot can be pretty predictable at times, there's a plot twist late in the read which feels really contrived and forced, and Sam at times acts in ways that are uncharacteristic for his character. But overall a good read.

Stolen nuclear weapons, Chinese Tongs, an evil empire ruled by The Shop, and plenty of action across the globe mark this as another grand addition to the series. Plenty of twists and turns as the US is held hostage and China's leadership can go either way to support or oppose their own high-risk general.. Throw in a Krav Maga lady instructor with great attraction and enemies of enemies becoming friends and it’s a fun read that is almost non-stop. Well worth the time

The books story was very well written, I did not find myself confused or losing interest at any point during the book. There was tons of action as well as a look into Sam Fisher as more of a person with feelings about his lifestyle rather than the spy that will do anything to get the job done. All in all great book, I will definitely continue on with this series.

I enjoyed this book even more than the previous. The book takes place very soon after the events of the first as a direct sequel with a lot of the same characters and references to the previous characters from the first Splinter Cell book. Sam and Katia’s budding romance in Opperation Barracuda is most certainly something wonderful to follow, it makes the book and Sam’s family struggle even more heartbreaking to visualize. The book is full of surprise, treachery, speedy action, slow-going romance, high tech weaponry, stealth, martial arts, gangs, guns, exotic locations, political and personal drama, and massive explosions. All these make the book very fun and easy to visualize and roll along with.A favourite book of mine so far.

Sensacional, amei, esperando para sair uma versão no Brasil e ler novamente. Recomendo a todos, leiam e depois joguem, fica mais claro as atitudes de Sam Fisher.

Barracuda is a decent enough follow up to the original novel that both serve as prequels to the first game in the series.

Typical thriller by Tom Clancy highly enjoyable. Highly recommended.

C'est rapide, intéressant, envoûtant pour des gens comme moi qui ne connaissent pas le milieu de l'espionnage et ne pratiquent pas les jeux vidéo. Je reconnais avoir lu toute la série (il manque le livre correspondant à Blacklist) et je suis tombée amoureuse de Sam Fisher. à lire en anglais car j'ai vu une critique de lecteur en français où il manque 100 pages de traduction...
