If you are looking for a portable battery charger for your smartphone, then this is probably the best solution in the market now! It's inexpensive, the design is perfect, the housing is solid and more importantly the performance is great compare to other batteries I've tested in the past two years. This is about good for 1 charge of my iPhone 5S. It's about the size of a large lipstick tube or small flashlight and seems to be well made. I like the stubby charging cable that comes with it but they only provide a micro-usb connector. Us iCult members will have to supply our own 30-pin or lightning cable. Also, it's heavier than you would think just looking at it but I guess it's because the battery is dense.

Reading the other reviews here, I'm beginning to suspect I may have received a bad battery. On a full charge, the Omi labs will take my Galaxy s4 from around 10% to around 30% in about an hour before dying. It's enough to get through the last two hours of my shift, and I can carry it in my pocket along with my phone. But I would expect a full battery charge when my phone is 2600mAh and this device powers up to 3000.

I keep this plugged into my car to charge and I grab it whenever I need it. I actually think this thing charges my S4 faster than the charger that came with the phone. For me, it doesn't get my phone from 0% to 100% [it gets it to about 70%ish] but that may be because I use it while it is charging. Very good product!

UPDATE: Less than two hours after posting the original review below, I received a call from the manufacturer. They sent me a new charger free of charge! Great customer service - I'd have no worries about ordering from them again!Original Review: I ordered this portable charger in March and didn't have a chance to use it until this past weekend when I took a trip and knew my phone might die. I brought this "portable charger" along and when my battery was running low, I plugged in my phone. The green light blinked on and off incessantly and made a clicking noise as it went on and off. It got really hot and it wouldn't charge my phone. Unfortunately it is too late to return this, so I am posting here to warn everyone of the problems.

This is a tad larger than the other ones on the market but it seems to be made a little bit better. I gave it to my wife so she will not run out of iPhone juice. You will need to have the proper connector of your phone. Comes with Micro USB.Alan

I bought three of batteries. They work great. I get about one full charge of my phone from them each time.The interface is real simple - just a single light to tell you if it's charging. But for $8 it is hard to beat.

Great product. The cord is nice since you can plug it in to charge, reverse the cord to charge a cell or other device through microusb. I did have one issue where it was taking battery power from my wife's android phone. It works fine on my Windows 8 mobile Nokia 920. Glad I bought 2 of them just to have another one handy.
