This is a very cool little unit and does exactly what it advertises, actually does more then I expected. My exhaust fan is in back so the clips won't work, but the shrouds provided work great. You have auto mode and manual mode and this is in Celsius only which is fine. I put the provided self adhesive foots on the bottom of laptop to make sure any vent had air intake. I also had a cooling pad that it sits on but that never did the entire trick. This is like a little vacuum that pulls a lot of air through the entire laptop to the point there is no heat, its cool to the touch. Even if the internal fan went out this would take care of all the heat. This is a very inexpensive answer to overheating laptops vrs frying a motherboard due to heat. Its rated for at least 5000 hours and is not loud even on manual on speed 13. On auto it detects the temp and adjusts the fan speed automatically and II can't hear it at all. Like I said I use a cooling pad and put the footings on so its a little elevated for air flow and you could sit in bed with your lap top and never feel warming or heat, lift the laptop up and feel the bottom of it computer and its cool to the touch as if it was off. I have it on auto right now and its fan speed 7 and the temp goes up but nothing like it use to which fried 2 hard drives. I now have a hybrid 500 gig drive with solid state and it works great also. I believe I have fixed my hard drive issue and this little extractor fan is ideal. It comes with a little filter to collect any dust or particles and two ways to attach it which are all in the description. Laptops are notorious for over heating at times and this fixes the problem. I am running a Samsung SF310 and upgraded to 8 of ram and I use every port this little laptop has so I have pushed this little guy to its limits and beyond at times, but I can't write enough about how great this little fan is and well worth the money. Heat will destroy any laptop or computer and this solved my problem 100%. If anything it has too much cooling power for my little laptop. I know this is long, but it took a long time to figure out how to cool my laptop and cooling pads are fine, but do not do the job. This little unit does the job with a lot of cooling power to spare as its on auto and at speed 6 and its nice and cool and I still have 7 higher speeds and less then half speed is fine. You simply can't go wrong with this unit.

Works better than I expected it to and you can't hear it when it's running. I hooked this up to my new HP laptop the day it arrived and haven't taken it off this comes with several different soft silicone adapters so it will work for different sized and types of laptops , it's whisper quiet and it keeps the temp of the laptop well within the levels that it needs to be. The quality of the cooler is excellent the digital readout is large enough to see easily and it seems to be very accurate the suction cups the hold this to the bottom of the laptop are strong and don't leave any marks or residue on the laptop powering the fan cooler is done by plugging it into a usb port on the laptop and when it's plugged in it doesn't interfere with or block any other ports or controls. I'm very happy with the quality and performance of this device it works better than I expected and anything that will help extend the life of my laptop is greatly appreciated the price of this device versus the price of repairing or replacing my laptop doesn't even compare so in my opinion this is a great value and well worth the costs.

Did not cool enough. Temp. stayed around 100 degrees and needs to be around 90. Bought it because laptop fan died and replaced it but still did not work. Maybe I need to remove non working fan to give better access inside laptop.

I just received the Gazeled Laptop Fan Cooler and I had it installed in under 5 minutes. The design of this unit seems to be high quality; the mounting hardware holds the unit tightly in place against the laptop and the silicone shroud provides a nice airtight seal between the cooling unit and laptop.I mounted the cooling unit to a side vent on my laptop (where the internal fan was exhausting air) and the included (4) foot pads allow the laptop to sit evenly on a flat surface while the cooler is installed. The foot pads raised the laptop about 1/4" so there was no wobbling when typing with the cooling unit installed. The foot pads are sticky on one side which holds them in place to the bottom of the laptop case. In my application, the foot pads allowed more airflow around the bottom vents where the air enters my laptop because my stock foot pads were only about 1/8" tall.I immediately noticed an approximate +/- 30°C reduction in internal laptop temperature (I monitored temps using SpeedFan v4.52 software which showed the temperatures of the HDD, processor cores and hardware monitor chips). I was able to maintain a stable temperature with the cooling unit on setting #4 (of 13) during heavy use and the cooler produced a slightly louder noise than the internal fan; it wasn't loud enough to bother me and was easily drowned out by music but I could definitely hear that the fan was running while working in a quiet room. On setting #4 the cooling unit seemed to move a decent amount of air flow through the laptop case!Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and I like that this unit is rated for up to 3 years of use and offers a one year replacement in the event of defects. I'll update this review if something goes wrong with the cooling unit or if it fails prematurely. As of right now I would recommend the unit to anyone looking to reduce the internal temperature of their laptop.
