I like it because it looks more fun than boring black and does not take up much room on my desk. It does the job very well. You do have to have a death grip on your pencil, though.

For two years, my students complained about the X-ACTO sharpener in my high school classroom. I finally gave in and ordered this one. This one is very fast and very exact. It sharpens most pencils in just a few seconds and brand new pencils in less than 10 second. Very nice. My students are grateful. I'm grateful.However, after using it for a month, I do have a couple complaints. Twice now, I've dumped the shavings on myself. The shavings holder comes out too easily on mine. It's a terrible mess to clean up each time because I get graphite on my chair, the floor, my clothes, and my hands as I try to clean it up. My classroom tiles still have graphite on them. I wish the shavings bin would click better into place and stay there.I also think there is a design flaw in this sharpener. Yes, it's fast, but because of this, the shavings get clogged in there pretty quickly. I then have to take it apart and manually dislodge shavings. This is not as easy as it sounds because of the shape. This sharpener is the most narrow where I'm trying to dislodge the shavings. I have yet to find something that will fit up there and effectively dislodge all the shavings. Very frustrating. If it weren't so narrow in the middle, it probably wouldn't have this issue.Pros: very fast, very accurateCons: jams easily--difficult to clean out

I have been a fan of the iPoint pencil sharpeners for awhile. I teach elementary school and needed a nicer, quieter sharpener for my classroom. This one definitely fit the bill. I love that it stops sharpening when it senses the pencil tip is perfect. It sharpens a lot quieter than the other brand I was using. I can sharpen a class set (32) of pencils in less than 5 minutes with this sharpener and it doesn't overheat or act weird. It is definitely recommended for a classroom.Note: I don't let my students use it because they are young and not always careful, but it holds up great to my daily use when I sharpen pencils for the class each morning.

It was not expensive and it serves its purpose. I'm not overly excited but then I'm not disappointed either. I'm happy enough with it.

I received the product in good condition and in the time span promised. I guess I expected it to be a bit more powerful than it is, but it will serve my needs.

They work good, decent price, haven't had any trouble with them yet, but we don't use them just a whole lot either.

At first, this was a great product. It was quiet, and sharpened pencils to a precise point. (I'm a teacher and use it at school). However, after about two weeks, it would only sharpen to a dull point, if at all. VERY DISAPPOINTING, as the cost came out of my own pocket. I would not recommend this product. Also, this is a battery operated sharpener, not electric, which I think the ad says.
