Not as easy to use as an ice tray, but not too difficult. Perfect crystal clear cubes every time. I do wish they would offer a second tray that made 1" square cubes. hint hint...After using a year, it makes perfect clear ice cubes 95% of the time. Those that aren't perfect are acceptable. One odd thing it does on occasion is one or two of the cubes will freeze taller than the other cubes giving you a clear 2" x 2 1/2" cube. Not a big deal as I usually run hot on them to get them down to size. If you follow directions, this thing works consistently. Must use hot water when filling the plastic tray. Recommend 48 hours of freezing as 24 isn't usually enough. All in all, I love it!

It is hard to get photos of something that is basically clear, but hopefully this photo does justice to just how cool these ice cubes look. This was my first attempt and I assumed that there would be some kind of learning curve to get them right, but NOPE. Just using the simple instructions included, I got perfectly clear cubes on the first try. Dead simple and really impressive. You can see how a lot of effort went into the design. It works flawlessly.I would love to see a tray for smaller cubes at some point if possible. The big ones are great, but some smaller ones would be nice too.

Takes one or two tries to get your technique just right, but overall it’s a simple process and genuinely creates beautiful, clear ice cubes. A bit expensive for what it is, but comparable to other kits out there.

I used to use the Wintersmith’s ice chest and really liked it. After about a year, the plastic portion of the mold started to crack causing the mold the stop working. I wanted to look for a cheaper alternative since the ice chest from Wintersmith’s is quite pricey ($120). This ice mold completely solved my problem. The ice turns out completely clear about 95% of the time. Sometimes the cubes will have a few bubbles here and there but nothing that is offensive. Plus it makes six cubes at a time compared to the Wintersmith’s four. If you’re a fan of clear ice cubes, this is the perfect solution for you.

The corner split open as the ice expanded. For the price we were expecting something durable and longer lasting. We had this for 11 months and used it once every 7-10 days. The ice was clear and it worked as described, but $65 for less than a year of use is not worth the price.

This is really a cool product! I have always liked to have lots of ice in my drinks, but with this, one cube is enough and it doesn’t dilute my drink as much. And the CLEAR cube makes a great presentation! Treat yourself to the On The Rocks- Crystal Clear Ice Cube Maker, it’s easy and fun to use!!

"Clearer", but so far not getting crystal clear ice. Since instructions say 18-24 hours, I tried removing cubes after 20, because they looked clear from the top. The waste ice was frosted and foggy, so was hard to see the water bubble. Cubes weren't fully formed, but not clear.For 2nd try I switched to filtered water and 28 hours. Fully formed cubes, a bit harder to separate, but not that hard. Just grab the tray and pull. But as pic shows, they are still foggy. And kinda wet!Freezer is set to -2 degrees F. Maybe not cold enough? We do have very hard water here. Maybe that's the issue?If it doesn't improve I'm going to return it. Not $65 better than my simple large silicone trays.Update 4/27/21: Third try wasn't any better. Used filtered water that I heated, per recommendations, and moved container to deeper inside the freezer. Looks like this is going back.Final update 5/10: after trying the recommended hot tap water, as well as filtered water, I continued to get at best partially clear ice. I wrote to the manufacturer through their website, asking for any advice they could share, and got no response. So back it went! Definitely not worth the $70 it cost me. I'm trying the True Cube product next. At least it costs about half the price.

Use a mallet to break it into smaller pieces - also gorgeous in your glass.A fantastic gift for your fave home bartender - (although I learned about this product at a VERY toney inn).ps Try to stick to the suggested freeze time - don’t forget you have a batch of fresh ice cubes waiting for you.I keep the extras in a ziplock gallon bag and run the cubes briefly under water before adding to glass (if needed) to bring back the sparkle.
