Tracks well and gives accurate stitch placement
These feet snap on to any standard presser foot adapter and hold fabric as they should. The quarter inch foot with the side guard helps to ensure a perfect 1/4" seam, however a little practice helps to get it perfect everytime. The clear foot allows you to view your fabric as you stitch, but it does not have a hard edge 1/4" fabric guide. Both feet hold fabric well and glide over fabric easily allowing for even tracking. These are a decent set of basic presser feet that any quilter will find handy.

Plastic foot had accurate 1/4” stitch, metal foot was narrower by 1/16”. Metal foot had metal burr.
The media could not be loaded. These two feet will be very useful for both quilting, where 1/4” seam widths must be accurate, and when topstitching.CLEAR 1/4” FOOT:I like the clear foot with the red markings because you can see the fabric underneath when sewing. I was thrown at first by the need to align the fabric at the smaller forward extension of the foot, not the longer side of the foot. Since the forward part of the foot, which you are aligning with the edge of the fabric for the perfect 1/4” distance, is 3/8” forward of the needle, it’s not as easy to keep it aligned on the edge of the fabric, as you can with the longer edge of the foot. But once you understand which part of the foot to align with the edge of the fabric, it does create a perfect 1/4” stitch.METAL FOOT WITH EDGE GUIDE:I do a lot of garment sewing that has top stitching so a 1/4” foot with the guide on the side is going to be very helpful. You can place the foot so that the guide piece runs in “the ditch” of the seam but I tried it twice and got different results. The first time I placed the guide on the cut edge of two pieces of fabric. The stitching was NOT 1/4”, it was 1/16” shy of that measurement. When I tried a second time, on an open seam and using the guide in the seam “ditch’, I did get a perfect 1/4” distance. So there may be some trial and error with the metal foot that you may not need with the clear plastic foot. The metal foot was not smooth in the middle, where the channel is for the thread to slip through. If you look at my photos you’ll see rough edges and some metal extending into the channel. It did not seem to extend into the bottom of the foot so I don’t think it will damage the fabric, but the workmanship of the metal finishing was clearly poor. These 2 sewing feet are very useful and they both produced a 1/4” stitch with some practice, so they work as described. I wish the metal foot had been finished so there were no metal burrs, but it still works.
