Excellent for dancers
I loved this book from beginning to end. It's amazing for dancers for the exercises it provides, both for mind and body, although you're going to need to buy some equipment to do most of them... It's very clear and objective, it not only explains how to do,, but the author actually spend time anazlysing the whole body anatomy and kynetics, which are very important to dancers in my opinion. It was the best book of conditioning I've ever bought and once you try some of the exercises Franklin proposes you will be so curious about you're body you won't be able to stop reading it!

Heavy content, exactly what dancers need
I was reluctant to buy this book but when it arrived I was happy. It's quite large (tall) and has lots and lots of information. This means you won't read it like a normal book and instead refer back to it when you want to find something out.Only problem is that you will need to buy a lot of pilates equipment. As someone who already has some therabands and other pilates equipment, I wasn't entirely happy to buy even more.This will help dance training and improve technique, placement and injury prevention so I recommend it to dancersGood buy

Excellent present a the dancer
I bought this for my Goddaughter as she attends a stage school on weekends and is into dance, musicals ect, she loved it and showed her dance teacher who was impressed.

Conditioning for Dance Book
Recommended to me by a fellow acrobat. Detailed book with clear explanations and diagrams. Definitely helpful and highly recommended. A good purchase.

Contents are fine, conditions somewhat less
The book is everything I wanted it to be. Only, as I unwrapped it from the cardboard amazon cover, I saw that something was wrong: some pages seemed to stick together ever so slightly, which resulted in the book having some odd bulks. It also has some light yellow stains around the edges of the paper, so that is what must have caused the stickyness. I gently pulled the pages apart and hope they will remain so.
