Okay, this is a different use than most people, but I use wax thread to braid rosettes in my horses mane for horse shows. You braid the string in, use it to tie off the braid and the tie up the rosette. This works great for that. The braids stayed for over 15 hours with a horse that loves to rub them out.

As a hobbyist leather worker I’m always trying different brands of thread for my leather projects. If I buy a specialty tool from a maker, I also order some of their thread to try out. I really like the feel and look of some of the linen threads, but they are more difficult to work with. Many threads have multiple strands, but I don’t like the way they work with my needles. The intertwined thread is my favorite, since it doesn’t untwist and it works great with hand needles.This intertwined thread from Victohome is great. There’s a decent amount of wax on the thread, so I don’t have to wax it by hand, saving me time. Plus, the wax thread stays nicely on the spool until you unwind it. I tested the thread on some scrape 6 oz veg tan leather and it slid through it easily (see photo). The thread is also very strong and I felt no issues when I pulled on the threads during my stitching. I used 002 and 004 needles for my test, one on either side, and both were easy to mount and use with this thread.Overall I really like this thread and will be ordering different colors as I need them. The 270 yard length is just about right for my needs. I have some small spools that only lasted for a few projects and some large spools that will last me forever, but this sized spool is a nice in-between size. Additionally, based on the feel and looks this thread is nearly identical to the Ritza thread, but at a greatly reduced price.

I've been in the leather working hobby for about 12 years now, and this waxed thread is very typical of the kind you would get from the leading name brand store, but it is more affordable. It has the same strength, grip, thickness, and everything. I'm very happy with it. For leather crafts, it is perfect. I got it in khaki, and it's a nice light beige color that looks very natural.

I use waxed thread to tie pom poms after I’ve made them. The wax helps to hold the thread in place otherwise with regular thread the pom pom will start to fall apart. It’s a large roll so it will last through many pom poms. I recommend waxed thread like this for pom poms and crafting in general.

The thread itself was good but it frays a little too easy imo

This waxed thread is very strong and should hold whatever you chose to sew with it. Finding the end of the thread took awhile because it blended in so well and the wax kept the thread attached to the spool of thread very well. This should be great on hand sewing leather items. The color selection is so good it is hard to decide what color to get. But the price is so good you shouldn’t have to decide on just one. I don’t think anyone would be disappointed in this thread. It is really a good choice and should be in your repair kit for on the go repairs for tents, leather or any other item that needs a strong closure. It could also be used as a thin cord for repairing items that require attached to other things. Even whipping ends of rope. All and all a great choice.
