inexpensive and (so far) very reliable
It took a bit of effort to figure out how to insert the battery--the company forgot to include instructions. But after twisting pretty much everywhere on the torch, I figured out that it was at the very rear end. And it did not take much strength to open. I *love* that this requires only 1 AA battery...my old set needed 3 or 4 AAA batteries, so this will be much cheaper and more convenient. If this turns out to be low-quality over time, then I'll change my rating to reflect this. But for now, I am very very pleased with the result.Bonus point: This can have a steady beam, or, a quickly blinking light. So, this will be great for a bicycle at night, in addition to all the usual uses one have for a torch.Bonus point (of no value for me). You can "telescope" the front end, which will broaden or narrow the beam of light. At its most focused, it's actually a square shape...I can't figure out why someone might prefer this, but maybe for some use that is beyond my ability to imagine? . . . :-)

Great Price for being prepared.
I read a bunch of mixed reviews on these before hitting the BUY button, and pleased that I did make the purchase. Not sure what all the negative feedback was all about, unless some of these buyers were expecting Mag Light quality, heft and weight at a bargain basement price.I unpacked and inspected all five that I ordered and everyone is in perfect shape. I then tried each one with a AA battery to assure that everything worked as it should, again all worked as designed. The light beam can be focused from a wide pattern to a much tighter and more intense beam of light. It also has three different light settings, Low, Bright, and Flash or Strobe. The case is very lightweight and includes the pocket clip to help hold it in place of your pocket or belt. With Spring storm season setting in upon us you can never have enough extra flash lights laying around. The fact that each flashlight only using one AA battery means that you won't go broke buying batteries. These will also be used for up coming camping trips in that we can supply each of the grandkids with their own night time source of light. For a light weight, good source of light, these are a bargain.

Bright compact flashlight, but mode switch is flaky
Pros- Super bright LED flashlight.- Adjustable wide / narrow beam.- Two mode operation (solid beam and blinking).- Uses standard AA battery.- Compact size fits easily in pocket.Cons- On/Off button sometimes switches to blinking mode even when it's not supposed to. Slow clicks are supposed to maintain previous mode, and fast clicks are supposed to switch mode. Sometimes I'll count 10 seconds between clicks and it still switches mode.

Work Fine
Got the five pack, and all five work fine. Not as solid as Hausbell 7W Ultra Bright Mini LED Flashlight Tactical Flashlight (2 Pack) , but totally functional. The battery fits a bit loose, and the zoom isn't tight, but the light output is good with 14500 batteries. No complaints for the price! (I did test with AA batteries, and you don't get full light output like you do with Hausbell 7W Ultra Bright Mini LED Flashlight Tactical Flashlight (2 Pack) .)

Good for the price
Bought 5. 1 died within 2 days. The other 4 are working. Quality not is not as good as my J5 Tactical. So, you sacrifice quality for quantity.

Great Little Flash Light
Great little flashlight. I have given many of these flashlights away from different vendors. They put out a ton of light and are cheap enough to give away which I do. I've been carrying one of these lights for a couple of years in my pocket. You will be amazed how often you will use it when it is handy. I would be surprised if you have issues with the light or the vendor.

Nice light!
I liked these so much I ordered a second pack! They’re bright and work! I like that they only use 1 double a battery. I put one on my multi tool holster, gave one to the wife and kids. They’re always taking my lights, now I can saturate the house with good lights and maybe find one. Lol. You can use a one inch scope ring and clamp it onto the front bezel and make a nice weapons light. The belt clip is kind of thin and bends, but other than that they’re great lights.

And exceptional value in a pocket flashlight.
I have ordered both these and the very similar Hausbell lights, and while these are slightly less robust than the Hausbell, their performance is very similar. The front rings on these were slightly loose when received, and neeeded to be hand-snugged, but otherwise they just needed to have the batteries inserted to make them ready for duty. Honestly, these and the Hausbell are both a very good value, far more worth the price than anything MagLite has ever made. I strongly recommend using the 14500 Lithium rechargeable batteries with these, as the light output from an alkaline AA is noticeably dimmer though still useful. As a pocket light for use in general mechanical and repair work, these are hard to beat. If you choose the 14500 cells, make sure to keep them separate from your supply of alkaline AA batteries; someone who doesn't know that there's a difference might use the 14500s in the wrong device and burn it out through excessive voltage.
