NEW Bellavita Lightweight Compact & Portable Bath Lift Bathing Aid Assistant

The media could not be loaded.  Why have I waited so long to purchase one of these. For years now my Mobility and Balance has increasingly declined to the extent that im now using many different aids to help me in my daily life but Bathing was becoming more dangerous for me as I have many times slipped and fallen. I have tried Stools that you put in your Bath making showering easier but these were not for me as I like to take a Bath. After a near fall last week I decided it was time to invest in a Bath lift for my own safety. I researched so many different types of lifts and I kept coming back to the Bellavita Bath lift as it is light weight and very simple to use. Betterlife delivered it in 2 days which was brilliant and it was so simple to set up as you only have the reclining back rest to fit on and just place it in your Bath. The remote is so easy to use just a case of pressing On, Off, Up and Down and it is easy to remove for charging. I tried the Bath lift out that evening and it was amazing. It is very comfortable and goes right to the bottom of the bath and you can have the backrest reclined or upright. This is the first time in ages that I could take a Bath without the fear of falling or slipping. The Bath lift can easily be removed from the bath just by removing the back rest then the base for easy storage. I am so pleased with this as I can now take a Bath in safety and to me this is well worth the money.

This has been a god send for my Dad.We bought this to replace the inflatable cushion that he'd been using to get in and out of his bath. The second cushion split, just like the first one had, just out of its warranty period and he didn't want to spend another £600 replacing it. Thankfully we came across the Bellavita bath seat on Amazon and after reading the reviews thought we'd give it a try. Its a great piece of kit. Well thought out, simple to use and really robust. My Dad has been REALLY impressed by it and almost 1 year on it's still going strong

I bought this after a similar one from the NHS left me stranded in the bottom of the bath. I thought it would take a long time to get an NHS replacement. As the NHS one was OK apart from that breakdown, I thought I buy a replacement and ensure there was always someone in the house when I used it. However, this replacement has 4 large suction cups, whereas the previous one had 6 small ones. The large ones won't grip. May be it is as our bath is small and therefore more curved. None of the others I see advertised have the 6 small cups so I am stuck with this and having to improvise with separate bought suction cups my husband will attach somehow.

I can’t really review this properly as I found it very heavy and the bath isn’t really big enough so I had to return it without trying it out. However it appears well made and comes well packaged with clear instructions. The only downside was the cost of returning it which is not refundable - however the refund on the item was very speedy once it had been received.

My mother is 81 years old. She has one knee replaced. She is fit for her age walking about 4 miles a day walking her dog. She recently told me she had not been able to have a bath for a couple of years because she could not get into or out of the bath and more recently was fining it increasing difficult to stand in the shower. I spent some time researching handles to attach to the wall and seats to put in the shower cubicle. I finally settled on this product because my mother really enjoyed having a bath.The product arrived in 24 hours from ordering. Kudos to the distributor and shipping company. The shippers website displays the package location and expected time of delivery - in my case I had the shipping info via text. the info sent was so good I was expecting a text that said the driver was just about to ring the front door bell!.Opening the box, I picked up the instructions which frankly are terrible. The quick start instructions read like you would be enveloped in a mushroom cloud if you didn't ensure the seat lock was engaged.....I never did figure out the purpose of the seat lock. My advice is to throw away the instructions and use common sense. Step one put the handset on charge. Mine fully charged in 30 minutes. Step two, engage seat back. Step 3 raise seat about 6 inches - this enables you to put in the suction cups. Tail (stopper in the instructions) first. Then push the suction cup mushroom head into the large hole and slide it into the small hole. Then turn unit over to put the stopper into the larger hole. This stop the suction cup from detaching. Put unit into the bath and turn on the water.......Some things to be cautious about before purchasing. If your bath has side handles or a drain knob they could foul the side panels. Also ensure that you would have access to sit on the side panel. In my mothers case she has a knob on the side of the bath that opens and close the drain but I explained to her that she needs to pull the side panel away from the drain know before raising the seat.So, having put the unit in the bath, I showed my mother how to use it. Very simple. My mother immediately wanted to take a bath which she did. The unit worked exactly as advertised. Very simple and yet brilliant solution.

Easy to set up, not if you look at the instructions though, they make it seem much harder than it is. I watched a YouTube video and all was clear. Fits in the bath really well and goes up and down. Stable, great suction, has tabs on the feet to help with release when you want to take it out of the bath.

I bought this item for my 90-year-old mother. The product itself is robust and simple to use, and appears to be well made. However, it arrived without the required four suction cups. When I asked Betterlife to send them, they sent a single suction cup belonging to another product. I sent a further email providing a detailed description of the items required, and followed this up with a phone call. A week later, I received another single suction cup in a padded envelope (which is useless without the needed attachments). I have asked for a refund and will be buying the product from another supplier (CareCo). Hopefully, their customer service will be better.
