Bought as replacement
The pot went on old switch so bought the as replacement. Only used the pot as plate not as deep as old switch.

Check low load requirement! Very good brass finish.
Only 3 stars as I wanted to use this for LED bulbs in a chandelier but the dim function would cause the LEDs to flash at low load (dimmed). With 6 LEDs loading and still flashing until a LED bulb was replaced with a halogen bulb (+5 LEDs).The brass finish was exactly what I needed so I replaced the dimmer module with a LED control circuit bought from Amazon. All now working but I it's important to have the minimum load specified if you need to use the as-supplied dimmer circuit. Also some LEDs may require a negative edge switching (not the as-supplied one) controller circuit.Buying a second one of these, to control wall lamps,for the brass finish but likely to change the circuit controller again to get a better low light control of LEDs that I'm likely to fit.

A dimmer switch that dims :)
Really nice product, be very careful when fitting that you don't scratch it with flat head screw driver. The screws provided were too short and did not fit my existing housing. I had spares so not an issue for me but I could see others get frustrated. Mine was fitted in a late 1800's cottage and had the desired effect

Shame about the flickering
Looks good but I have had to to move the dimmer switch to a location that does not allow the bulb to flicker, cannot turn fully to the light maximum as it will not stop flickering

Looks gorgeous and was a bargain!
Absolutely delighted with this little gem. Looks amazing and managed to get it as a less than perfect which came from Amazon Warehouse with their tried and tested guarantee. I've always been a bit sceptical about buying 'less than perfect' goods but this mate my day, it was a bargain and looks absolutely beautiful! Thanks Amazon!

Average.
Reasonably well made, however the switch/dimmer bronze cover came off and had to be re stuck. The attachment screws are not long enough considering the depth of the dimmer function. Otherwise the unit functions as it should.
