Product was delivered upside down. Waited the suggested time of 6 hours for things to settle in the compressor; actually waited overnight. Plugged everything in, set temp, and was at set temperature within 15-20 minutes. Freezer does get cold enough to make ice. Baskets are a nice touch.The app is very difficult to get set up. As one other reviewer mentioned, the trick is to go into your app settings and set the QZSmart app to discover nearby devices. Once this is done, everything is pretty much automatic. But it took me coming to Amazon and reading the review to understand what needed to occur.Plugged it into my Goal Zero Yeti 400 12 volt plug. Goal Zero display showed between 33-40 watts out to the fridge while the compressor was running. When the compressor stopped, wattage output went down to 1 watt which is to power the fridge display.Have not used the fridge when travelling.Instructions say this unit manufactured by Alpicool Electric Appliance in China so comments about this unit looking very much like the Alpicool model make sense.Overall initial assessment is that this is a solid product and does what it says.5 year warranty on the compressor, which is stated in the Amazon description. is a nice offering should something fail. However, the manual states that the warranty is only 12 months on the unit. I hope if the compressor fails that I do not have to defend the Amazon description compared to the manual. Time will tell.

I initially bought it to keep yogurt and cold beverages in my mother's skilled nursing room that lacked a fridge. It worked very well for that. This device is controllable by Bluetooth, but not remotely via WIFI, which would be nice at times my use in this case. This is not a con, just a comment.It also comes with a 12v plug to run while in your car, plus a feature that lets you set it to detect if your car battery is getting weak. That feature had a High, Medium and Low setting on it, which I think is very cool! Additionally, the lid is easily reversible so you can open it from either side.It is very important to note that there are essentially two kinds of mini fridges. One, which looks like a miniature version of what you may have in your kitchen, and the "cooler" sort, like this one. Most of the traditional mini fridges have a cooling mechanism in them that only allows them to cool about -25F below ambient temperature. That means that if you are anywhere in the 80s or above, things like dairy products won't last long. I saw a number of these kinds of "fridges" for less than $100.This cooler has an compressor similar to your home fridge or freezer and it can cool to -4F if you wish. I tested mine and it claimed to hit that on the panel. The water bottles inside were frozen solid, so it was darn cold! I elected to go with a model with one large compartment rather than two that can have different temps. My reasoning was that I was likely to use it for power outages and I might want to actually keep things frozen, or to make ice. Or I might use it camping and I'd I only need things to stay very cold. Having one compart vs two also allows more total storage, which was important to me. Your use may dictate needing two comparts. Just know you may trade total storage capacity.We recently used this when we had a lot of house guests to cool beverages. Several folks commented on how nice having extremely cold adult beverages was. Also, it was very nice not to need to put ice on the beverages, which always results in lots of dripping drinks. Plus, you have to root through the ice to find your favorite drink. My wife became a big fan of this thing after the party.The only potential downside is that it is much heavier than a regular cooler of the same size. But once you load the regular cooler up with the same number of items and ice, I bet the total net weights are not too far apart.

Pros.Cools down quickly. Less than an hour down to fridge temps and below zero in under 2 hours.Lightweight, so it's easy to move by yourself. Even with some food I never had issue putting it back into my vehicle.Size is perfect for a small SUV. Never took up to much space in my Subaru OutbackConsGetting use to controlling the temperature takes a little bit. Not very intuitive. Instructions aren't that helpfulSome condensation, but nothing excessive.Overall I would highly recommend this cooler after using it for two seperate trips each over a 10 day period.

I bought this for a road trip to the West Coast. It worked perfectly. Kept my drinks and snacks cold as I wanted and had plenty of room in it for all the fruit I bought to bring home. Best of all I didn't have to buy ice or deal with wet or soggy items.

We bought this cooler for our cross country trip and it worked great! We could keep healthy snacks and drinks without all the dripping ice melt. We set the small section to freeze and keep reusable “freezer blocks” there. Then when we stop for the night, we just transfer those blocks to the larger refrigerator section and it stays cool all night - even though it is not plugged in and running 👍 Yeah!

I had a larger 12v fridge but it didn’t fit in my space behind my seat. This one is the perfect size for a back seat or hatch back. It’s well made and pretty quiet. The temperature stays very stable and it pulls minimal power. It quickly gets down below 0 and will hold it even when it’s hot outside

Works ok but it is completely dead after less than 6 months. Do not buy. Expensive for what it is. Hard to use. Doesn't keep things cold when it is broken. Seeking refund or chargeback

The cooler works fantastically when using the app. You will need to set up a 2.4 Ghz network on your router to set up the app. If you operate it from the front panel, you will need the instructions right in front of you and it's still quite confusing.

The fridge/freezer combo is very well made, noise is absolutely minimal and it gets cold very fast (even on 12volt). Love the locking lids. The freezer side is very small though, almost useless unfortunately, but luckily the large side can also be used as a freezer. 5 stars so far, but beware, the app works, but it's very hard to get working (the instructions do help). Once you get WiFi connected, Bluetooth is automatically working for camping convenience. I'll update after my first overlanding trip. Works well in combination with EcoFlow systems.

Love the cooler! Works as described. Maintains, without issue, the temps for many days at a time. Cools quickly. Is quite heavy when empty, and does not have large handles to grab onto which I wish it had. I like that it comes with baskets that fit in both compartments and are easy to lift out and return things to the normal fridge etc.

I purchased this for our converted campervan. It does a great job keeping contents cool over long trips. I reached out to their support team to help me understand how to minimize its power consumption when working off a power bank. Their customer service was responsive and patient.One star off for the following reasons:- It’s very difficult to control the temperature on the smaller side using the touchscreen interface… and there is nothing in the manual on how to do it.- The Bluetooth app requires you to sign up for an account with an email address which I find annoying and unnecessary. We rent out our camper, so this is a barrier for our guests.Otherwise, good product, good price.
