Pungent aroma and complex taste
The powder is full of mixed spices aroma. The taste is is complex with a kick of spiciness to it. It goes well with many type ingredients that would instantly brings you Indian flavor without dining in restaurants. My wife often made with ground meat and thicken up with starch, then pour on to a bowl of rice, super simple and delicious. Highly recommended and would like to other flavor from Alco.

Fresh and flavorful, can be added to recipes like normal seasoning too
This came sealed with an aluminum pop top and was very fragrant and flavorful. I could tell the seasoning was fresh. The flavor is a bit tangy, savory/salty, with some tomatoey umami, and a bit of heat if you apply a lot. This does have salt in it but doesn’t taste overly salty (unless you’re used to a very low/no sodium diet).I love tikka masala but don’t know how to cook Indian food. I wasn’t sure if this seasoning is only meant to be used in marinades or if it can be used like traditional seasoning as well (e.g. adding it directly to food before/while cooking). The brand’s website offers an “easy recipe” (pasted below) that involves creating a yogurt marinade with a handful of other ingredients to make actual tikka masala on the grill—more effort than I usually put into my meals. Instead I tried this seasoning by rolling half of a veggie sausage in the seasoning and sautéing it. It was delicious. I wish I’d coated the whole thing in it. Bottom line, it works as a basic seasoning too; it’s not just for marinades, although it would make a great marinade. I also tried sprinkling some of the seasoning on a piece of cooked brat in my plate—that was really good too. So it’s super adaptable even for us lazy cooks. It will be great for seasoning veggies, tofu, or my other protein substitutes before cooking any method. If you eat meat, this would be amazing on that too, especially chicken or shrimp. Here’s the brand’s recipe (edited for brevity). I found it by googling “Alcoeats Tikka Masala Seasoning.” I haven’t tried the recipe myself so can’t vouch for it:Add a few tablespoons of hung curd (i.e. greek yogurt i.e. strained yogurt) in a large bowl and whisk until smooth. Add in one teaspoon of ginger-garlic paste, paneer tikka masala powder, cornstarch, one gram flour, salt, half teaspoon garam masala powder, a pinch of crushed saffron, and a teaspoon of lemon juice. Mix the ingredients well and then add whatever you want to grill (veggies, paneer, meat, etc.), skewer them, and grill.

Fragrant and Full of Flavor - Quality Garam Masala
I was excited to open this 100g jar of Garam Masala! The container comes shrink wrapped with a plastic lid and an aluminum pop top under the plastic lid. When I peeled back the aluminum lid the smell of fresh, fragrant spices filled my kitchen. This spice is bright and clean and you can pick up the smell of the individual elements of the mix. The color of the spice mix is rich and deep. This is a large jar, so I'm glad I can reseal it with the plastic lid to keep it fresh.I used this mix to cook my favorite Indian dish, Butter Chicken (Murgh Makhani) and it was delicious! I enjoy highly flavored food, but cannot tolerate hot spice very well. This has ample flavor without heat. I loved it, and my husband, who is not always a fan of Indian flavors, thought it was savory and delicious. Some have said this mix is a bit salty, but we did not notice an issue. This gets five stars from us both.

Seems more like a tikka masala seasoning salt than for cooking
I'm not quite sure what to make of this Alcoeats Tikka Masala Seasoning. It came sealed in a plastic container with a plastic cap over a pull-tab aluminum lid. That keeps the contents fresh, but then you have just a plastic snap cap when it comes to use. I noticed some clumping of the powder but it was easy to break the large clumps apart with a spoon handle. Eventually, I found myself looking for a small jar with a shaker-style lid for use.My initial thoughts were to get this seasoning for preparing tikka masala dishes but then I read the ingredients. The ingredients are a bit atypical for tikka masala compared to what I've used in the past. The ingredients listing starts with salt, chili, garlic, sugar, papaya powder, oregano, thyme, maltodextrin, fennel, and others. Maybe chili (paprika) and garlic powder are often in tikka masala powders but salt, sugar, papaya powder, oregano, thyme, and maltodextrin sounds like a lot of fillers that aren't typically desired in a pre-mixed powder of tikka masala. It seems more like a list oriented towards applying to the surface of foods before cooking, like a bbq rub.I used the small shaker as a way to apply on french fries I made with an air fryer and that was delicious as a seasoned salt. At the same time, it's so salty that I really can't imagine preparing a full dish with tablespoons of this seasoning. In that regard, it's not the shortcut to making tikka masala dishes I expected.

Convenient Spice Blend for Indian Dishes.
This seasoning arrived in great condition, with tamper proof packaging - sealed in both cellophane, and an aluminum pull tab lid (like you'd see on a beverage can). There is no shaker lid, but there is a clear cap for sealing. The spice is fresh, flavorful and colorful with a tiny bit of heat. This is a wonderful spice blend to save time and $ in the kitchen. It expires two years from the packaging date.

Contains salt
This garam masala comes well sealed and is a product of India. It smells very fresh and aromatic straight out of the jar, which has a wide enough opening if you're using a spoon. Keep in mind that this does contain salt unlike the garam masala I own from another brand so if the recipe you're using has additional salt, make sure you taste before adding more. Besides the salt, taste wise is about the same and has a lot of flavor which I expect from garam masala. I would recommend this if you enjoy cooking Indian food.

Flavorful seasoning
If you are going to be making Indian food you need Garam Masala. And this is a pretty good mix. The taste is nice and spicy. I mean in the flavorful sense. It is a little salty, which is fine by me. This Garam Masala is way better than the stuff I usually buy at the red bullseye store. My container was pretty fresh too. It was packaged Jan 23 and lasts for 2 years.
