amazing - crisp high frequency and smooth low frequency - Monolith T5 Floorstanding Tower Speaker
very happy - Monolith T5 Floor Standing Tower Speaker-QUICK NOTES-These Monolith speakers have a wonderful high frequency top end.-These Monolith speakers also have a good enough low end response that you might forego buying their matching sub-woofer, at least for a while.-SETUP AND EXPERIENCES-I had never heard of this speaker brand before I saw them here. I had purchased some cables from the Monoprice / Monolith cable division, so I decided to give these Monolith brand speakers a try.-After enjoying a pair of Monolith T5 Floor Standing Tower Speakers, I decided to get a full set. I am now running a 7.1 setup with two Monolith T5 speakers in front, two Monolith B5 speakers in back, one Monolith C5 center speaker, a 12 inch Klipsch subwoofer (the only sub-woofer I could find that provides a low end below 30hz - keeping in mind that the lowest piano ( A0 ) note is 27.5hz) *, plus two vintage Electro-Voice brand speakers with 12 inch woofers to round out the 7.1 setup. Amazon had the Denon AVR-S770H 7.2 Ch receiver on super sale last holiday season, which I scooped up as well. (update, I've switched to an ELAC brand 12 inch sub-woofer, and now 2 Monolith T4 towers are my rear surround speakers).-Instead of sitting on the floor, my Monolith T5 speakers sit on top of my vintage electro-voice speakers with the 12-inch woofers. Having the speakers from the floor going up over 5 feet to the tweeters at the top of the T5 speakers makes the front speakers feel like the sound comes from everywhere in the room. The tweeters in the T5 tower speakers are beautifully bright. Listeners don't need to be audiophiles to hear the difference in clear movie dialogue, as well as in music's cymbal sounds and other percussion sounds.-The combination of a set of Monolith T5, B5 (now T4), and C5 speakers with the Klipsch (now ELAC) subwoofer, combined with the Denon AVR-S770H receiver has amped up my media consumption experience beyond my expectations.-Ironically, I bought the first pair of T5 speakers, mostly because I couldn't believe such well spec'd speakers would be available at this price range. Maybe it's because this Monolith speaker line appears to be something new. I'm glad I took a chance on them.-Continuing To Enjoy My Monolith Media Consumption Experience-* piano pitch range A0 - 27.5Hz to C8 - 4,186Hz (4.1KHz) - seven octaves plus a minor third - Middle C is C4.

Best bang for the buck.
Great. I added a sub but not really neccesary. Drive it with a crown amp and a Wiim Pro.

Amazing budget speakers especially for aspiring audiophiles .
First let me say I deducted 1 star as the shipping box was damaged as were the speaker grills but the Speakers survived and I planned on not using the grills. I'm relatively new to the audio game even though I've been a musician for over fifty years. My first set of quality Speakers were Klipsch R14's and a Sony STRD190 reciever (I lived in a small one bedroom apartment). I still use the Sony butupgraded to tower speaker and at the price the T5's were an easy choice. Estatically they look quite nice, building quality goes way beyond their price the the sound although not full range they deliver tight highs and a decent low end without a subwoofer. So far I've been able to push these speakers to an extended listening session ranging between 80db-92db with various genres of music without issue. My best advice is to get these before the general population pushes their price higher.
