Just randomly died
The media could not be loaded. Little to no use of this product and it just quit on us randomly. This is our 2nd Aiper and I have had nothing but issues with this company (more issues than with the actual product.)First, I purchased one of their vacuums and then was told it was being recalled due to exploding batteries. I had purchased a protection plan and was promised that they would honor that with the new unit they replaced it with. I had to send back the old one before I could get the new one though which living in Florida meant going without cleaning my pool for 3 weeks. It was incredibly inconvenient to say the least. Now it's only been a few months since that recall swap out issue, and the new unit decided to randomly die. We rarely use it because we've had to hire a pool service and only use it when we need to in between their cleanings (for minor debris, etc.)Now I'm trying to use the warranty and they again want me to send them mine before receiving a REFURBISHED replacement unit. It is incredibly inconvenient to try to find a large enough box and package this incredibly large, heavy and bulky product back, then I still have to wait for them to receive it before they ship the replacement that isn't even NEW?!! They have zero customer respect or appreciation and I will be telling absolutely everyone to avoid this company at all costs.

Not balanced malfunctions
I have owned this for a month now and I just tried it out for the first time so I half to give a review this thing isn’t built or balanced properly when the robot drives forwards for the first time all fine then it does wheelies and doesn’t move more than 2ft at a time and then turns around and does the same thing maybe a 4ft area gets covered for hours on end I sat there watched it move in the same spot for maybe 15min then I left came back an hour later was still in the same spot doing the same thing so I believe the problem is the bin that Carry’s the debris is too light. I solved the problem buy adding a 4 pound weight on the back in the center worked better for about 15min till it started doing the same thing but on the opposite side not sure if adding another weight might work but its ridiculous the design doesn’t work because the weight in the water is different than the weight on dry land.

***PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING***
Purchased this based on positive reviews. We tend to disregard most of the one stars as they tend to pertain to shipping issues. Got the first Aiper Seagull Pro and it lasted about a month before it died. After fully charging, it would sink to the bottom attempt to start and then the light would start flashing red. Manual states that this is either electrical leakage, water blockage, etc.. Customer service requested a video of it doing what I described above before we returned it for a replacement. Replacement arrived yesterday, put it on the charger overnight and placed in the pool this morning. Sinks to the bottom, jets run for about 2 seconds and then stops. Repeats this 3-4 times and then light starts flashing red. Now going through the return process for the second time. At this point I have zero confidence in the durability or the longevity of this device.

Works, but rubber tires leave black streaks
First let me say that this pool cleaner is great at sucking up leaves. Definitely much better than the previous suction one I had. If that was the end of the story, I would give this product 5 stars. Unfortunately the rubber tires on the cleaner seem to be made of bad quality as they appear to literally dissolve. I can't use it to climb the walls because it leaves black streaks. In the attached picture you can see the effect of passing my finger over a tire thread. It leaves the black mark. I have only used this vacuum about 5 times. I started noticing this on about the 3rd use so I have to blame it on a design flaw, not wear and tear.

Truly amazing product
The media could not be loaded. After countless of video research and reviews, I decided to purchase the Aiper Seagull Pro.I can honestly say it exceeded my expectations. 1st time used and am extremely satisfied. I will update a review in a few days to see how it performs again. So far, so good.

The review I didn't want to write...3 defective units in one year
When I first got the Aiper Seagull Pro I was astounded by it's performance. Compared to the Hayward Aqua 500 it was replacing (the former which managed to keep working for SIX YEARS), it seemed to have everything going for it.- It was cordless, so no scaring the kids with 60' of line in the pool- It left the walls as spotless as the bottom of our 18' X 32' inground pool- It was super easy to clean out the basket- It recharged quickly- It didn't require a cumbersome caddyAnd then after a month and a half it failed. This was midsummer 2023, and one of the two stabilizer rotors would no longer spin up. This would send the unit into a failure mode and essentially brick it.So Aiper customer service came to the rescue and sent a replacement unit. Turnaround time was about one month, which is pretty long in places where swimming season is basically just June to August. But we manage to finish the season with a second unit.Come late April 2024, I inspect the second unit to get ready for an early 2024 season thanks to a spring heat wave... and the second unit no longer charges.Again, Aiper customer service concludes the unit must be replaced (slow water ingress from the 2023 season corroding the unit over winter? Who knows!). This time, however the foot dragging is audible. Email after email, and having to send reminders are order of the day...er, months. Total turnaround time : TWO MONTHS. A failure in early July would basically have compromised the entire season. And then, to top it all off, the 3rd unit is essentially brain dead. Instead of going through a cleaning cycle in a useful pattern with enough redundancy to leave the pool spotless (as was the case with the first two units...before they died), this third unit loiters in restricted patterns that leave it unable to complete even 25% of the job. Even two complete cleaning cycles (over 4 hours of cleaning) leave our pool only approximately 40% cleaned. The photos included with this review show the results of two full cleaning cycles. Given that the cleaning pattern is programmed into firmware, I can only conclude that some kind of software revision completely borked up the unit's performance between the 2nd and 3rd unit. Way to go Aiper.Three defective units in 12 months for a 1300$ pool robot tells me there something going on here beyond just bad luck. A Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of less than 20 hours is simply appalling and software revisions that obviously leave units crippled leave me wondering what kind of quality assurance and quality control processes Aiper have left in place.I can only recommend going with a company that has a better, longer track record at this point.

Keep your warranty
I returned the product after it stopped operating after 4 or 5 cleans. The robot would run for 2 minutes and than stop.It never operated in the pool the way it should. It was one confused robot. It did look good and appeared will made. The operating manual was a very limited and over simplified I felt.

It really works great when it does, but the one I received stopped working in after a few months.
This machine really works good when it works but my pool vacuum cleaner stopped working after a few months. I'm currently trying to get a replacement.
