I only needed to reset the SRS airbag fault codes and some other engine fault codes. Worked great on the E series BMW. Before receiving the cable, I already downloaded ISTA-P(+) 4.39.20. But just for fun, I created a VM and mounted the CD to see what was inside. AV went crazy of course, so yea...my "free" ISTA had no virus whatesoever, and yet this also-pirated copy CD has a virus....hmmmm.Anyhow, ISTA worked great. You need to edit the EDIABAS.INI from remote to STD:OBD and then change the USB com port to 1. Then select EDIABAS as the interface in ISTA. Easy peasy.

Just like title says--cable works, switches from KCAN to DCAN (bridging or isolating pins 7 and 8). If you are reading this, you know what you need. Used an existing copy of INPA and was able to connect to Engine ECU and read/clear BMW codes but could not access several other modules (SAS, Cruise, etc.) Windows 10 64 bit. Windows found a trojan on CD that allows remote access to your computer, so avoid installing included software.

Works with BMW tool kit 100% Get this cable, toss the CD it doesn't work and comes up has having viruses on windows defender.You can find the software all over so no issue there.

Tried this cable for about a week and I kept on having problems connecting to the ECU.Upon closer inspection, one of the pins to the ODB was COMPLETELY unsoldered. Pretty dangerous situation for your vehicle considering what you do with the cable.You get what you pay for.

Works great for quick things but if you’re planning on using it to run MHD or protool on your BMW I would suggest get the thor or MHD wireless option

Works better than the cheap garbage I had bought prior
