A great product
What a great product - fits beautifully over the screen, no stickers/velcro/whatever, it mounts magnetically. However, note that with the filter mounted the laptop lid won't close totally (will have a 3mm gap), which is fine, as the laptop will switch to see mode. And in order for the filter to be more effective, you may have to dim the screen brightness. These issues are documented by the manufacturer.Curiosity: I still didn't figure out if the filter has a front and a back side, as it seems to work fine both ways... and this isn't documented.

Good product. One ommission...
Good magnetic screen protector. Nowhere to keep it safe once removed from screen...

60% Privacy Only!
Offers around a 60% privacy! The screen is pretty visible as to what one is viewing albeit not very clearly. A privicy screen should offer more.

Excellent product from a responsive and supportive company
[UPDATE - Feb 18] - I’m changing my review to five full stars as the manufacturer contacted me to let me know that because of my suggestions, these products now include a free protective envelope and clear instructions. With those changes, this product meets all expectations and a manufacturer like that who is so responsive and helpful deserves praise and repeat business. Consider me impressed!——————The privacy screen works well, but there are two key missing things when you buy from this company:1) There are NO instructions. The two sides of the screen are different, and they don't tell you which is the one that is supposed to face out. Why can't they put that simple instruction somewhere in the box since pretty much everyone will sit there trying both sides and trying to figure out which is better.2) Terrible that they don't provide a sleeve to protect the filter when it's not on your laptop! The cardboard sleeve it comes in is HUGE, and way too big for a briefcase or backpack. The little celphane wrapper is too flimsy and it's very hard to get the filter back in this sleeve, especially due to the ADHESIVE the put on the sleeve that makes it even tougher. It needs a simple letter-size cardboard folder in the box, that you can take with you in your briefcase to protect the filter.

The price, privacy, and convenience make this superb value!
This is great value and a must for users who need to keep their screens private from those sitting nearby. I've used privacy screens on other laptops, but they have always been stuck on, and that makes for awkward removal, sticky spots on the screen, and essentially full time use of the screen. The beauty of this screen is that it is magnetic; this is a magnet bar across the top that attracts to the top of the MacBook Pro screen; the privacy screen is a perfect fit for the MacBook Pro 2016 with Touchbar (i.e., the latest version MacBook Pro). Because it is magnetic, it can easily be removed and reapplied without sticky spots, when needed. The laptop will close with the screen in place and stay in sleep mode, so it can be left on, e.g. when traveling, without any concerns. The privacy effect is sufficient for most users' needs; I already used this while traveling by air, and the privacy screen blocks passengers seated next to you from viewing what you can see. The price, privacy, and convenience make this superb value, and I a, considering another for my other MacBook Pro!

Wow, better than expected
Impressed - reading these reviews I didn’t know what to expect. It works well. Looks like an OEM product. Closes just fine. It’s not as effective as the gold 3M screen, but it’s just as good as any other screen protector that shades dark from the side. People on planes won’t be able to see unless it’s on full brightness. Mid to low, you should be fine. This will work for 99% or any normal use cases, and the magnetic on off is a MUST. The residue left from the sticky strips are gross, and they really need to be replaced often if you’re doing any on/off motions more than a couple times as they attract dust. This so far is the perfect privacy screen.

Great screen but don't leave it on or it will cause the screen to crack!
So when reading the reviews and deciding to buy this I had gone through several but decided on this due to the great reviews and easy of putting it on. I typically like to leave my privacy screen on my computer as a way to protect the screen from bending and breaking as well and saw no obvious signs against this. Everyone said the computer would go to sleep with the privacy screen on.A few weeks after using it, I noticed a small crack on my monitor. I thought it had gotten magnetized from the magnet and after taking it off and investigating further I realized it had gotten cracked. This ended up costing me $500 from the Apple Store to fix it. It's a pretty good product, but I wish I had known about the possibility of it causing my computer to crack. I think the leverage caused by the bulk of the magnet and a little bit of pressure caused it to break. I have had my computer for over two years and I don't have a single scratch. This really was an anomaly as I am very careful with my belongings, you have been WARNED!!!

I'm not sure what the other reviewers were talking about ...
I'm not sure what the other reviewers were talking about here. The quality of this is disappointing and the price is outrageous. As for the quality, it uses a magnet at the top that is too thick to allow the machine to close, which they were clear about on the product description, what they don't mention is that its enough of a gap that the machine actually pops open when placed in a bag. The second issue is that the magnet at the top and the unadhered portion at the bottom results in a tiny gap between the privacy screen and display at both of these sections. This puts the screen contents out of focus everywhere except the middle. Alternative privacy screens use adhesive strips to address this instead. The price of this product is also ridiculous, and increased by another $15 since i bought it. The benefit of being first to market I guess? I haven't decided if I'm going to return it, but even at $54 I don't think it was worth what was paid.
