This a beautiful, well made teapot. They handle stays cool while in use. The handle pivots well so the pot is very easy to fill. The spout pours very well and the whistle is moderate, but noticeable. The blue colors are perfect and look so nice on my stove, with my backsplash. Very happy with this purchase.

there were comments from others we saw raising questions about things like handle getting too hot, lid coming off etcwe have not had it long enough to say about the durability but so far so good - the lid seems quite secure , though you do need to be careful about taking it off when still very hot and use a mit or glove. it is light which we find very helpful , heats wellthe handle gets warm but not too hot - we can easily hold in bare hand - whistle works fine .We generally do not fill it all the way- , and have read it is better not to heat on the very highest setting -very happy with purchase thus far

Did not like this at all. Both the handle and the spout are so hot that you need a mitt to hold the teakettle and open the spout. Its looks very pretty but it is not practical at all. I would not recommend it to anyone!

Love this tea kettle. I've been on the search for a red tea kettle and have gone through several. I didn't think this reasonably priced one would be much better than the others, but I was wrong. It is lightweight but sturdy. Metal bottom means the red enamel will probably not chip off like the previous ones. It has a large opening for filling. The handle stays gets warm, but stays cool enough to be picked up with a bare hand - no need for a clumsy pot holder. Best of all, it actually whistles loud enough to be heard in the next room. Just make sure the lid is on tight.

I am replacing my 15 year old kitchenaid kettle that sprung a leak. Love the way this tea kettle looks, it is really cute and looks so nice, it is light weight which is awesome. I only gave it 3 stars because the kettle I received doesn't whistle, and that is what I really needed. I can’t send it back because I live in Cabo San Lucas Mexico, it would cost over $100.00 US to return. I really wish the company would send me a kettle that whistles!
