Crysalis 100% Pure Natural Calendula hydrosol spray is my first hydrosol. I love calendula salve and find it very effective for skin irritations so I figured I'd see how this was. I really did not understand the product but luckily they spell it out right on their packaging and bottle as to what it is exactly and I got to say I am starting to love this stuff. It comes in a plastic spray bottle which sprays rather heavily as opposed to a thin mist. It does have an odd smell. I don't find it unpleasant exactly and if it gets on my lips, I don't find it very good at all, but on the skin it is refreshing. It helps soothe my skin from itchiness to redness to bug bites. If I think about this product, I assume they are making stuff out of the product left behind during essential oil manufacturing so that means it is using something that might have been thrown out and creating a great and effective product and to me that is a win-win situation. Mind you I am not exactly sure but I am a fan of the product itself regardless in how they obtain it.

It's the best calendula hydrosol I have tried. I use it as a facial tonic. It refreshes the skin, resolves small irritations and prepares it for the moisturizer. The seller responds right away and politely provides requested info. The only downside is a very slow delivery time.

I was so confused about how to use Crysalis 100% Pure Calendula Floral Water. I purchased it thinking it was an all-natural skin toner and hydrator based on the product’s online description. The bottle itself, on the very first line under Application, says “can be used in toners, creams..”, etc. So, the bottle made me think I should be using this product to make something with, not using it by itself. I did some online research and found this was safe to use as I intended. I like the smell of it. It absorbs very quickly into my very dry skin and leaves no residue. This product is made in India and my bottle is super fresh, made just 2 months ago, and good for 2 years. I’m not at all worried that this will expire because I’ll be using this often. It’s a nice product.

I was a little confused with the description on what it really is and why to use it so I did a bit of research and in short this is what I came up with.... "Calendula oil has antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that might make it useful in healing wounds, soothing eczema, and relieving diaper rash. Calendula oil is a natural oil extracted from marigold flowers (Calendula officinalis). It's often used as a complementary or alternative treatment." It does make quite a nice toner and what I like it's not a flowery scent like I was expecting...it has more of an earthy smell!

I wasn't exactly sure what floral water was when I ordered this one and I'm still not sure. I read that it was made from marigolds but I didn't think that it would smell like fresh marigolds. I'll give it a few more tries but I don't think that I would reorder. I do like that it is manufactured in a GMP facility and is cruelty free.
