Fub, fuss free lighting solutions
These striplights are both a pleasure and a doddle to use. Its simple scan, plug and play process means that from doorstep to installation is less than 2 minutes. Naturally installation in situ, depending on the complexity and how ambitious your installation design, might take much longer. The lightstrip itself is supplied on a convenient, easy to unravel reel. The lights are arranged on regular intervals along the strip, with lights on one side and an adhesive strip on the other.Personally, and from a re-application perspective, I opted not to use the adhesive on the strip itself, instead preferring instead to use a more temporary solution with which to secure the lights in place, which in turn would allow the option for further installation in other areas. As with most things technological, your experience of the device you use really can be enhanced or marred by the design, intuition and general performance of the application used to control it, and in this regard the Happy Lighting app fairs really well.Once connected to your phone you have the standard functionality you would expect from a smart light. Indeed those already familiar with using smart lights will recognise the ability to switch between using preset lighting scenes and standard RGB colour, the ability to manually change the colour, saturation and brightness from a colour spectrum, as even the ability to select a colour from a photo in your gallery to match your personal fancy. You can also manipulate the pattern and speed at which the lights transition and flash. Similarly you can also create a lighting schedule for your lighting design, dictating the times they operate aswell as the duration. The only drawback i can see of using Bluetooth connectivity rather than WiFi is that you loose the potential for voice commands, app integration and remote, offsite access to the lights. However if you already have a number of smart devices and hubs using you home network, this cod be a massive plus for you, because your WiFi bandwidth might be heavily congested. What you do gain with these lights however is the cool feature which allows you to synchronise the lights with music on the device or with an external sound source, meaning you really can get any party going with lights that pulsate and change colour in time with the music. So if you're still on the fence on whether you want to take the plunge into a fully fledged home lighting ecosystem, and or unsure want to invest in something more expensive or you're simply looking for an inexpensive, DIY free, smart lighting solutions which doesn't rely on an already congested home WiFi connection thenI would wholeheartedly recommend considering these lights. Finally the market for smart lighting itself is tremendously competitive and lots of prices fluctuations, from vendors with identical offerings, so my advice would be to take some time to shop around for the most competitively priced version to grab yourself a bargain.

They work well when they work.
These are ok when they work. The app interface offers plenty of options for lighting colours and patterns.Sadly the connection from the control box and the usb coupling is pretty poor. Always have to get up and give it a wiggle to turn it on. So I don’t use the that often As it’s and effort to climb up high where I have these installed.I wouldn’t repurchase these units because of that. Which is a shame as the strip itself is bright, colourful, and the leds are molded into clear rubber.

Sticky tape poor quality and lights fall off after 1 hour
Nicely packed, prompt delivery, works well but BIG issue is the sticky tape that holds the lights onto the surface is really poor and within 1 hour my lights had fallen off. Suggest other suppliers might use better quality sticky tape so try others.

App doesn't work
The app that comes with doesn't work and also my lights stopped working. Bad experience and not worth the money if you can't change the colours or pattens. On the app store the app has alot of bad reviews 'happy lighting' is the app if you want to look for your self.

Generally ok...BUT ADHESIVE IS RUBBISH
Generally the product works well, app is easy to use. HOWEVER, the adhesive strip on the back is absolutely rubbish. What is the point of this strip if I will not stay stuck to the back of eg a TV?! This happened after just a few hours of fitting:(

Green LED Lights
If you want a product that is just green... buy a tin of paint the app is awful and doesn’t work. Spent hours googling answers only for people to suggest another app by another manufacturer. Get what you pay for... lesson learnt
