HobbyGift MRL 86 Sewing Box: Large, Assorted, 23.5 x 31 x 20cm

I bought this as a xmas present for my eldest grand daughter and her mum says she’ll be delighted with it, and that it will be a great asset to her as mum and dad have bought her a sewing machine for xmas as she’s really into craft work.The sewing box is large, well made, extremely sturdy, and is covered in a delightful owl patterned cloth.Anyone who purchases one of these will not be disappointed.

I opted for free delivery and it arrived quickly - 2 days after I ordered it. It's quite a large sewing basket, I like the proportions of the sections in the inner tray, I can get my pens and pencils in one, my thimble and a magnetic needle tin in another, my embroidery scissors in the third, with still a section free - I'm sure I will find something to put in it!The basket is well padded and the top is sturdy enough to lean on if needed. The basket is also quite deep. Deeper than I needed it to be right now, but I'm sure over time it will get fuller. The bottom of the basket is actually large enough to fit a large bobbin thread storage box in, with room on the side to get your fingers round to get it back out. I have also got quite a large pattern and piece of aida in there, and I have only had to fold it over once. I needed a basket to have my sewing in as I am forever packing it in a tote bag to take with me when I visit family and it's going to be great to have it already packed and ready to go.

There's nothing like having a sewing box with all your goodies to enjoy stashed safely in a pretty box! Nice big size; good tray on top; sturdy and not too heavy to lift. Very pleased with item and it will be well used

The media could not be loaded. It's such a nice box, seems really sturdy and fits loads of stuff in. My only issues with it are that full size cotton reels just about fit in the top compartment, where you'd expect to keep them as the things you need the most, don't attempt to put them in the part that has the pin cushion closing down on top of it, put smaller stuff there or it won't close. Anything other than paper thin stuff in the lid pocket will stop it closing too. The only other bugbear with it was that the clasp hadn't been stitched properly and was coming undone... Ironic considering it's a sewing box. Other than that it's a really nice box and I would certainly recommend it for someone who does a bit of household sewing now and then. A serious hobbyist might need something a bit bigger and better thought out.

This is a welcome addition to my work trolley. It is eye catching and practical ,holds all the fiddly bits that I always seem to lose and is easy to carry when needed. It is sturdy and robust and we all know where to find the bits and pieces that were previously tucked away in a drawer somewhere. No more "Hunt the Thimble" in this house.

Definitely big enough, and the tray is solid. I would prefer the lid a a bit sturdier/heavier but it is a good box.Though it isn't a great price it's the best I've found. Would recommend for intermediate/family sewing box.
