Super Lovers: Season One [Blu-ray]

Brothers in (each other's) arms
I don't want to overthink a fun, lighthearted show, but I've got to ask myself: is this really a romantic comedy about incest, and if not, why the big tease?Turns out it's about the middle ground where too-busy-for-love Haru Kaido and his near-feral kid brother Ren slowly teach each other how to become fully functional human beings. No wonder we like romcoms: they're beacons of hope and possibility in a world where love really does conquer all, for a while anyway. And of course the season finale leaves us wanting more...

Brotherly Love
I have been watching anime and reading manga since I was 10. I'm 38 now. This was the first Yaoi theme movie I have ever purchased. This BL comedy/romance and a lot of drama, gives a whole new meaning to brotherly love. These brothers (adopted brothers) both suffer from abandonment issues, and create a special bond. This is light Yaoi, the manga is a bit more graphic. I just had to see what would happen next, I also bought season 2!

Give it a Watch!
Great anime!I really recommend giving it a watch, it explores the anime industry and shows how people deal with all the stress that comes with being a seiyu.

Bland and relentlessly nice
This anime follows a trio of young female voice actors as they try to achieve their dreams. There are some insights into the Japanese voice actor industry, but, as this is a "moe" show, everything is much too nice to be realistic. Everyone is well-intentioned; nothing about the characters or the story is remotely offensive. A show like K-On can still manage to be interesting with this foundation, but Seiyu's Life is not on that level of quality. For a more grounded, dramatic and entertaining look at the life of a voice actor and the nature of the anime industry, I would recommend Girlish Number instead. That show also has much more stylish artwork.[For some reason, the geniuses at Amazon have mixed up the reviews for Seiyu's Life with the reviews for boys-love anime Super Lovers.]

The life of a Seiyu
Contains: Japanese audio, with English subtitles, no dub.Number of episodes: 13 + OVAThe show covers the day to day life of Futaba Ichinose, a rookie voice actress and her friends Ichigo Moesaki, and Rin Kohana. I really loved this series because you see these characters behind the scenes recording and preparing for their roles for anime etc that they've been cast in. I've wanted to see to an anime about Seiyus, being Seiyus, for a while. In an early episode, the girls record their own radio show too. Each episode has a guest appearance from a famous Seiyu, playing themselves naturally. Such as Yui Horie, and Rie Kugimiya. There's so much to love about this show.
