Bonus: Top world destinations scratch off bucket list. 24"x20".Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, we've become tourists in our own country, substituting driving for flying. I thought this would be a great way for my kids to keep track of the different places we've been to and hopefully engrain a memory or two of our road trips.I was looking for either a scratch off, or a sticker map, and in the end I went with the scratch off because the stickers would have been more difficult with my kids and the map could turn out to be a true "work of art" by the time they're done with it. The scratch off was definitely a safer bet...I ordered this map because of the colorful pictures that depict the essence of each state (with the exception of some of the New England states that are too small). The pictures are fun and the colors vibrant. Each poster is fully laminated and the set comes with a guitar pick as well as a precision tool to help you from bleeding into another state accidently. The set also comes with some stickers of various activities (camping, hiking, sailing, canoeing, road trip, etc.) to help you remember your visit as well as some location flags that you can write on pinpointing more precisely where in the state you were. Lastly, a microfiber cleaning cloth and pouch is included for you to keep your poster clean and to hold all your tools.Overall a great set that is super giftable and fun for the entire family. The set retails for $21, which is a decent buy in my opinion considering you get two large laminated scratch off posters. The set is currently on sale for $18 (at the time of this posting) which makes it a pretty good buy. The set contains everything you need.I didn't use the double sided tape that came with it because I wanted to be able to place this on map on a flat surface when scratching off the next state. I purchased a 24"x18" cork board instead, but found out that with the lamination, it was slightly too big fit within the frame. But being lamination, I was able to easily cut way a little bit around the perimeter to make a perfect fit.

This scatch off reveal map is a nice size. I think it should come with a kind of paper holder you can hang or one will need strong pins tp hold it into the wall. It is thick paper and clear ink--very well done. I like that it has a single map of America alone. It has city names around the world with no map to reveal where they are located but that is okay. Perhaps you can mark a different map for the city locations. It comes in a strong cardboard tube and protective paperso the gold color scratch off does not scratch off until you want. This si a very fun gift for a world travelor or one who wants to travel. People will enjoy seeing the places be scratched off their list in this unique way. Good fun gift.

The children love this map. They get to scratch off the map as we travel to each state. They have use this as an end of the year show and tell to their class and even got extra credit for social studies.It scratches off easy, like lotto scratch offs, and looks colorful and nice hung up on their wall.

I have a few of these scratch off posters. This is the first scratch off poster that included a scrape pen in addition to a guitar pick for scraping purposes.The US map (16 x 23) is much smaller than the Top 100 World Destinations poster (20 x 24.) Each are protected by a page of tissue paper and rolled up inside the tube. All the accessories are included in a black storage pouch.I'm not sure that I will use the location flags because I certainly don't want to put extra holes in the wall. However, if I mount the poster on a cork board, then maybe I will use them.I've probably only been to 20% (or less) of the world destinations but at least I've been to some. I look forward to seeing how many more that I can check off. I think that I've only been to 36 of the 50 states - so I have work to do there too.Rather than use the double sided stickers, my plan is to use magnets to hang them on a magnetic white board and then scratch, scratch, scratch away. For now, I'm just letting them straighten out after being curled up in the tube.A few minutes later, I tried out the guitar pick and the scrape pen on the small states of MA, RI and PA. The scrape pen works nicely to do the more detailed (e.g., smaller) areas. So I got this for something other than travel. I recently started selling things I make with a silly goal of having my art in all 50 states. This is a really fun way for me to keep track of it! I personally only need the US map, but the bonus top places would be great for anyone actually using this for travel.It's easy to scratch off without causing damage to the image below, and my kids are having a great time helping me. The pins are a super cute addition. I use them to mark the states where people have placed an order, and when I print the shipping label I remove the pin and scratch off the state. So it helps me keep track of pending orders as well! If I were able to travel more this would be an amazing way to keep track of where I want to go and where I've been, but it definitely has alternate uses as well!
