We have two of these feeders, one for each cat. One of the cats was very obese and our vet was worried that she would become diabetic, so she’s on a restricted diet. These are the only feeders I’ve found that can dispense a small enough portion for her to be able to enjoy more than just one or two little meals per day. The smallest portion setting is 1/12 of a cup! It makes just enough noise dispensing the food into the bowl, that the cats hear it and run to eat, so no need for a recording which some other feeders have. The Wifi connection makes it so that both feeders dispense at the exact same time, cutting down on scuffles over who gets what. (We have the feeders in separate areas of the house). It’s super easy to set up the app, and once done, you can add or skip a portion, or an entire meal, from your phone. If we aren’t going to be home during a feeding, we close a door between the cats so the obese one can’t steal from our slow eater after she gobbles her food down. If we forget to close the door, we can cancel the next feeding on both feeders remotely, and catch up when we get home. I highly recommend this feeder!UPDATE: After trying unsuccessfully for a few years to get our cat to lose weight, the Homerun Pet automatic feeder has solved our problem! Our very small framed cat is a rescue and learned as a kitten to eat whatever she could get, as fast as possible. Overweight cats run a high risk of becoming diabetic. With this amazing feeder and advice from our vet on food type and amount, we set the feeder up and she has lost 1/3 of her body weight - from 15 lbs. down to 10! The feeder has so many options regarding feeding amounts and frequency, she gets the perfect amount and no longer pesters us for food because she knows we don’t feed her. When she hears the food drop into her meal, right on schedule, she’s ready to run to it. My first review was how convenient the feeder is, but it’s made a huge difference in the health of our cat. I highly recommend this feeder, and the Homerun water fountain is great too!

Ive tried 2 auto feeders before this one…my problems usually are that they’re hard to set schedules or skip feeds with such few buttons/no app; can’t/or difficult to remove food chamber to wash; and my cats don’t like metal bowls…That being said, this one is just perfect!I love how everything can be easily taken apart to clean and refill! And the double tap to manual feed is so easy! I can also skip a feed from my app! No more overflowing food (ceramic!!) bowl👍 cherry on top: The machine is pretty on the eyes, too👌

Minor issue but very annoying bug in software. When creating account and attaching to wifi you cannot copy from another app such as a password safe and into the feeder app. Since I have long complex passwords for wifi this is very annoying.

My kitten likes to eat many meals but tiny amounts throughout the day. Before I got this, I use to just put out a bowl for him for dry food buffet. I learned that it really isn't too healthy to do that in the long run so I bought this to schedule his meals. This fits my entire bag that is around 4 pounds. If your bag is heavier, you may need to get an airtight container to store the rest. This machine be powered through outlet and batteries. I opted in for the battery because there isn't an outlet where he eats. But to set it up the first time, you need to power it via outlet. For the app to schedule is food, it disconnects very often if you connect it via batteries. It is MUCH more stable if you power via outlet. But for me, it didn't really bother me because once I set a schedule, I don't really need the app anymore. The machine will still run even if the app shows "disconnected." Otherwise, this machine is perfect!

The media could not be loaded.  Nice and easy, easy to set up, WiFi connection very quick and stableI scheduled the feeder for 3 times/day and has been very accurate (video… 7 pm on time 👌🏼)The log is great to track the performance/feeding time.I wish it will tell you when the plate feeder is empty, but it’s fine for the price.

Frequently dropped connections and it doesn’t feed accordingly to the plan. Doesn’t support day light saving so you have to manually adjust. Very frustrating experience

I really try to work with products before giving a bad review. I don’t get the disconnect between the app and the device. The feeding isn’t matching up with what’s scheduled. It’s got batteries and it’s plugged In, connected to WiFi and Bluetooth so there’s no reason for it to not provide food at the scheduled time.

This thing has been a godsend! We have an older cat who likes to eat at 5 am. We were able to set a timer and it will automatically drop some food in the dish so that we don't have to get out of bed so early. There is also an app you can download that allows you to feed your cat from anywhere!
