Magnífica kalimba, de calidad profesional.El acabado es precioso, con un pulido brillante que resalta la veta de la madera rojo-violácea. Tiene en el reverso una hermosa incrustación de nácar blanco en forma de copo de nieve.Todas las lamelas suenan bien, ninguna llegó sorda.Su voz es muy melodiosa, realmente grata al oído, cristalina, cálida y aterciopelada.La curvatura de las lamas aproxima los tonos a los semitonos (blancas y negras del piano), de modo que requiere un menor movimiento pasar de una nota en un nivel a otra en el otro nivel, algo que se agradece mucho cuando se lleva un rato tocando una kalimba cromática.La disposición y el orden de los semitonos es congruente y práctico. El nivel superior ofrece 12 "negras" y 4 "blancas" del piano, suficientes para tocar la inmensa mayoría de melodías.El método de afinado requiere aflojar un poco con una llave parecida a las Allen un tornillo que sujeta cada lamela de manera independiente. Este sistema de tornillos independientes para cada lamela permite afinar, y también fijarlas con mayor o menor presión para evitar que queden sordas o que reverberen mal, con algún sonido metálico.Como en todo, hay algunas desventajas:-afinar la capa inferior resulta bastante complicado, porque los tornillos quedan bajo la capa superior, cada tornillo de la capa inferior queda bajo alguna lamela superior.-Faltan los graves que tienen las kalimbas de 21 lamelas (Fa3, Sol3, La3, Si3). En su lugar tenemos más semitonos (personalmente considero un acierto su riqueza en semitonos).-Las lamelas están algo más separadas entre sí de lo habitual, lo cual es útil para evitar errores de pulsación, pero dificulta un poco los glissandos.-Como es habitual también en otras kalimbas cromáticas, el estuche de transporte que viene con la kalimba no tiene suficiente altura, y cerrado roza las lamelas. Para evitarlo puede ser interesante comprar un estuche rígido más profundo, por ejemplo para una cámara o una consola, y poner alrededor algo que evite baqueteo de la kalimba al transportarla. Yo he utilizado paños de microfibra enrollados, eso me permite también colocar la llave de afinación separada de la kalimba para tenerla a mano pero evitar que se raye la preciosa superficie de madera barnizada.Una pequeña maravilla de instrumento. Muy contenta con la compra. Aguardo con esperanza e ilusión una futura kalimba Ling Ting de 42 lamelas.

This kalimba is very well made. The wood is of very good quality and has a beautiful glossy finish. The bottom edges are rounded so it’s pleasant to hold. The tines are solid and, in my perception, thicker and harder than other brands (I have two others).. The last 2 tines on both ends, on both layers don’t sustain at all but that’s common in kalimbas (some are worse than others) since they’re the shortest . The sound is almost like that of a triangle musical instrument. Quite beautiful, really, but I ended up returning it. I have hand mobility issues and this is just too heavy for me. Bear in mind that since it’s a solid wooden flat board with a double layer of tines, it weighs twice as much as a diatonic kalimba. Also, because of the thick tines, I found them hard to pluck. I don’t have this with my other kalimbas. Lastly, you cannot tune this with a tuning hammer (there is none provided - the hammer slot in the case was empty). There is a wrench provided that you use to remove the screws. I didn’t have to tune them when I received it but down the line, I expect that you’d have to tune it at some point. That’s just too much work for my condition. But if you don’t find these things as an issue, I would definitely recommend it. In fact, when my fingers have recovered enough that I am better able to “handle” it, I might end up buying it again.

The media could not be loaded.  Es una kalimba con sonido celestial y no hace falta mucha afinación ya que viene afinada y no pierde la afinación fácilmente. Viene en do mayor en la fila inferior y do sostenido mayor en la parte superior. Recomiendo 100%!

Die Kalimba hat einen wunderbaren glockenartigen Klang, leider gestaltet sich das Stimmen sehr schwierig, die oberen Zungen müssen zum Stimmen der unteren entfernt werden. Zungen müssen losgeschraubt werden, dann leicht verschieben, festschrauben, Ton testen (mit Stimm App z.B.) und das gleiche Prozedere so lange, bis der Ton stimmt. Hab ich leider nicht sauber hinbekommen, es ist wirklich fummelig. Meine 17ner Kalimba bekomme ich mit dem Stimmhammer sehr gut gestimmt.Ich hätte die 34ger Kalimba aufgrund des wunderschönen Klanges (bis auf die jeweils letzte Zunge der Halbtöne, die klingen nicht so schön) sehr gerne behalten, aber so geht sie leider zurück. Sehr schade.

The Kalimba arrived on time and in good condition, which is a good start.It comes with little stickers that you can put on the tines, so you have the option of clean tines if you already know which one is which note.The material feels very good and seems to be of high quality, the tines were tuned already, which is neat since this Kalimba doesn't come with a tuning hammer.It sounds soft and quiet thanks to the lack of a hollow body.So far I haven't come across anything that I would perceive as negative, so this was pretty much a 5/5 star purchase that I can confidently recommend :)
