The most iconic rock guitarist since Keith Richards, Slash has achieved the status of most interesting hard rock act in the world today . And 20 years after the demise proper of the group with whom he made his name, he continues to build on an already remarkable career trajectory, while his old sparring partner in Guns N Roses produces pale imitations of past glories. This two disc set includes a DVD documentary tracing the story of how Slash became the dazzling musician and performer he remains to this day, and a disc of audio interviews with the Cat himself during which he speaks candidly and honestly on almost everything he feels strongly about. All produced in deluxe digi-packaging, this set will delight fans of the man across the globe as it becomes a must have item to grace every Slash collection in existence.

very misleading dvd cover
i thought the cover was misleading i purchased it for my partmer on the understanding that the first cd wouid be slash in concert on tour. instead it was about guns and roses and not slash . the second cd whitch i expected to be a album of slashes solo songs was instead just him giving recorded voise interviews.only. very disapointed in dvd.

Cat in The Hat?....or Pig in a Poke? What a shame
I agree with one of the other reviewers - this IS misleading...highly misleading in fact. I was expecting a recent documentary centred around Slash (which is what the cover suggests), which of course would include plenty Guns N Roses references & footage. However, this is actually solely a Guns N Roses documentary, which of course does feature Slash - but no more than any of the other members of the band in reality. Even when the documentary first starts up it is Axl's picture that is used as the background for the menu. You would think that if this was a Slash documentary HE would dominate the content throughout & there would be lots of information re his career after Guns N Roses, but there is none. If you want a Guns N Roses documentary then this is what this is but it most definitely is NOT a Slash documentary by any stretch of the imagination. I repeat...THIS IS NOT A 'SLASH' DOCUMENTARY! It is a GNR documentary! What a shame this DVD isn't what it professes to be as such a fantastic documentary could be made about Slash. Just seen him live recently - AMAZING!! Forget buying this DVD....just go & see the Cat in The Hat LIVE instead.

Good but not great
The DVD is more for the Guns N Roses band than Slash but the CD is a selection of extracts from around the world. For the completist really.

DO NOT BUY
Very misleading. Not about slash at all,its a very poor unauthorised documentary about GnR and doesn't even contain any GnR or Slash music.

Excellent 2 Disc Set
I've been toying with purchasing this set for a while now and in the end got it as an x mas present - I wasn't disappointed! It contains a great DVD telling the story of slash's rise to prominence with Guns N Rosesplus and a disc of recent interviews with Slash that turn out really interesting. If you're a fan then worth a punt
