CD LCS MKII

Sturdy and solid. Small learning curve when assembling it but you'll get it quick enough. You might need to supply your own T15 torx wrench to install it, as mine didn't come with one. It's a little high profile. But if you have a riser for your optic, it shouldn't matter. Without a riser, your thumb is going to be in your optic window which may or may not be problem for you. Either way, it is the nature of the beast. While I think people crap on the stock Streamlight mounts unnecessarily (good temporary solution), this is obviously the superior option.Price is (way) out there but hey; the consumer pays the price when a business corners the market on a certain product. I think the $40-50 range is more a reasonable price point, but I'm not the one making them.

I have these on 3 different uppers.The Streamlight ProTac HL-X light is pretty good. Of course the tape switch mounted is the weak point for anything but light use. So adding this Cloud Defensive LCS Mk2 is the only thing that makes sense to me.I have a ProTac HL-X light on two of my HD ARs, so naturally I have to have an LCS MK2 protecting each tape switch.Update: 2022I now have 3 MKII mounts

This thing feels absolutely rock solid. The pass through channels do an excellent job of eliminating the cable mess all around the barrel. It seems straightforward in a “I don’t need the instructions” kind of way, but had i lubed it up before putting the tape switch in (like it says to in the instructions), it would have saved me a lot of hassle. All in all, I’m very pleased with this, and would definitely recommend it to a friend.

This product fit perfect with my steamtight Protac h-lx, I noticed people complaining about how hard it is to setup, just read the instructions, there's a grove to run the wire, you secure the sides loosely to the rail first with the wire running inside, then you secure the top to it. Just read the instructions! So simple!

I have multiple rifles that have Streamlight Protac rail mount lights on them, and everyone one is paired with one of these Cloud Defensive LCS. Fit and finish is great! It allows me to mount the pressure pad on the top of the rail, allowing for strong and support handed shooting as well as providing cable management keeping the pressure pad cable tucked away nicely.

Very well made extra for your light. Thoughtfully designed and manufactured to tight tolerances. The value proposition is not as good though, the price is high for a single machined and anodized piece of aluminum. But the price is my only complaint, and I would buy it again.

This mount is so much better than the one that comes with a Streamlight Protac... Like 1000x better. It is extremely solid. I had a little difficulty installing but finally figured out not to fully tighten either side first. I am very happy with this purchase. My OCD has been soothed by this mount!

Don't use plastic/rubber to secure something that could potentially get you killed if activated accidentally. For a "sandwich" style mount it is solid. Only option in my opinion, and great wire routing channel.
