This time biltong was hard and very fatty.My previous orders were fine

Nah ! No way I'm not addicted. That's just stupid. I never have more than a kilo a day. I just like to feel .. you know ... fine ... and everybody knows that the soft fatty righteousness is fine fine. I mean double fine. I mean it's like that angel rollercoaster where the hard working hench persons of the good Lord go weekends. It's like dip whoosh and bang! Dip and whoosh and bang. ... and you get off with your heart racing and legs shaking and ketchup and dribble on your shoes and hair, but then straight away, you're like YEAH let's do it again. Anyway I said I can handle it! HEY DON'T TOUCH MY BILTONG BAG LESS YOU THINK YOU'RE ARNIE? I SAID BACK OFF! I CAN HANDLE IT! I can handle it... what's that noise? ...is that the door? ...STFU you idiot!... did you hear that?There again listen...Hell! There's always someone waiting to take whats yours.I guess this is it. If you goin out might as well be for something worth goin out for.Peace out and respect the beef.

Product page clearly lists nutritional content on the product in the photos as having 35g of fat, the biltong I received had only 4g of fat. Their lean biltong is 2g of fat. This product should be called "slightly fattier biltong" as a mere 2 gram increase is just pathetic, certainly not enough to be called "fatty". No wonder the other reviews complain that their biltong looks too lean, it is! Change the product photos before you get a ring from trading standards.

I am sorry to say the biltong delivered did not match the description, as you can see from the photo. The pieces I put out on the table were the fattiest pieces in the whole bag. There was nothing wrong with the quality of meat or the cut and the flavour was okay (although not sure why the MSG is in there) but the biltong was very dry in addition to it being far too lean.In short, nothing wrong with the product if you like lean biltong but in my opinion it did not match the description and I won’t be ordering again.

Lovely rich meaty flavour (along the lines of the Kruga biltong rather than the stuff I used to get from South Africa but much nicer than Kruga in my opinion) and medium texture. Lots of nice marbled fat in this latest batch (last batch had less fat so I guess it's a little pot luck depending on the cuts of meat they use but it was still very tasty). Certainly one of the best biltong brands I've tasted (your mileage may vary as everyone prefers different things) and with a nice consistency that won't put off newcomers (firm but not too hard and chewy without being in the 'wet' biltong category).Only downside is coming in 2x500g bags instead of 4x250g bags as a complete lack of willpower on my part means I finish it fast once it's opened so it's gone in two big binges rather than spread out over 4 smaller ones :)Packaging was good, nice compact cardboard sleeve protecting the packs and not the '4ft box for a shoebox sized parcel' you sometimes get. Prompt delivery as well. Thumbs up from me.
