The best aerator shoes on the market
This product surpassed my expectations, so I wanted to give an overview of the pros and cons.Pros:-The spikes are a tad bit longer than any other aerator shoe I researched (these are 2.2in where the next longest I saw was 2in). This means deeper holes. And deeper holes mean the oxygen, nutrients, and water can get deeper into the roots.-The sturdy strap method is like night and day compared to the easy strap method. I first tried the easy strap method, and the aerator shoes kept on slipping off. So, I tried the sturdy strap method, and the straps never loosened one time. This addressed a big concern of mine seeing so many others wrote negative reviews about this aspect with other aerator shoes. There is a slight con here as well which you can read below, but it's nothing major in my opinion.-The spikes are fastened down using a serrated lock nut. If you unscrew one of these nuts, you can actually see that it "digs" into the plastic base. This makes me feel much more confident that these will not come loose during use versus a standard nylon nut.-The eBook and instructions contain a lot of useful tips and information. I'm not the type of person that has a desire to learn every aspect of lawn aeration, but I can respect the wealth of information the company provides with this product.-Not that this plays a factor in the usability of the product, but I thought the product was packaged nicely. The straps were neatly folded using a zip tie, and the other materials were presented nicely when I opened the box. It just felt like the company put in some time to make the customer feel like they were receiving a premium product.Cons:-The strapping instructions that came in the box were a bit confusing. However, the company followed up with an updated electronic copy of the instructions after I made the purchase that were much clearer. I'd recommend to them to update the physical instructions with the electronic version.Overall, I'd highly recommend this product. The one suggestion I'll leave with those who are also thinking about buying this product is to follow the provided instructions. I've heard aerator shoes may not work as effectively without the right conditions (i.e. soil is too wet or dry), and these instructions list out what you should do to prep your lawn for the aeration process.

Good product overall. Effective on clay soil.
I used your product yesterday with fairly compacted clay soil. They did slip off a couple of times, but that is because I didn't tighten them enough for the soil conditions. Once tightened they worked fine. I did break off a tine on the heel, but I think this was probably due to the soil conditions more than anything else - there were heavy tree roots present, and while I tried to avoid them I know I didn't avoid all of them. The tine bent and stretched the surrounding plastic in a way so it cannot be reset. I am pleased with the result, it was easier than I thought it would be, and would probably work fine under optimal soil conditions. I am also a large man - six foot seven and 250 pounds, so that probably played a role in the tine failure. A possible solution to the hole failure for the tine may be to include some insertable grommets with the repair hardware. That way if there is a hole failure, the grommet can be inserted, hammered into place, and the tine reinstalled. You may have already thought of this, and if so, great: but I didn't look at the repair hardware carefully. Afterwards I just wanted to go inside and rest. Overall, a very good product. The plastic bases were sturdier than I anticipated, and the stresses I put the things under were probably 3 sigma past normal, and they held up fairly well. The tightening straps were a bit long, but probably better to make them that way than to have them too short. The customer can cure that condition with scissors.

Don't get kicked in the face with these bad boys
I got a couple quotes from dudes in the area to aerate my lawn so I went and researched ways to do it myself and then use the difference in cost to buy a bunch of ice cream. I found these bad boys and thought at least they will be fashionable during the apocalypse and it would be easy to use since I'm just walking around anyway. So I ordered them and they arrived in a timely manner. I got an email from the owner which I ignored... As I usually do. I have 3000 unread emails. So what? Wanna fight about it? I have spikey shoes now. Jk. Fighting is not cool unless it's against aliens or zombies or that 12 year old who cut in line at the ice cream store. Jk. He's young. He'll figure it out that cutting in line just ain't cool.Anyway I put them on and they kept.falling off. Ugh. How annoying! I just paid for these and they show up on time looking so cool but they won't stay on my feet. Plus I have fallen down and now my dog is laughing at me because presumably I fell where he just peed. Then I get another email from ty the owner with instructions on how to put them so they won't fall off. It's like he knew that people.wouldnt read the instructions and fall and get.covered in dog urine or something!I followed the instructions which were just a slightly different configuration of the back two straps and bazinga! They stay on! So now I'm running around the yard poking holes everywhere and my dog is chasing me barking like 'why are you running around?! This is confusing!" You see I'm not a runner and Baxter doesn't know what to do now because he's never.seen me.do this.In conclusion this is a great product with great customer support and I would recommend it. I don't know how effective it is since I only used it once and then it snowed later that night. Yay springtime in Colorado.
