Sun Club formed in 2012 out of the ashes of an old band, with the purpose of making people go insane (in a great way). Pulling from influences like the Beach Boys and Animal Collective, Sun Club creates an array of energetic noises. The vocals yelp & warble with expansive, tense emotion over music that mines huge waves of reach-for-the-sky grandeur with rhythmic hard-pop and edgy shore-breezes of ethnic infusion. The songs have a sort of relaxed intensity (if that’s possible) that drives and builds toward something mysterious and necessary.
