Firefly Electric Handcycle Next Generation from Rio Mobility (Standard Frame Tube)

On receipt of this item there are no instructions, only a link to a video which has no audio whatsoever. after a couple of calls to the seller and also an email, I received a very lengthy tip list and was told that they are working on a new video that is easier to understand. Which tells me that the present video is not understandable. After taking this to several mechanics, we were told not only that it doesn't work but it is unsafe . My original correspondence to the seller was immediately after receiving it. And they were no help. After reaching out to them again , they have told me that a refund was not available. Do not purchase this item, look for another alternative.

Some people will love this device, and others will be disappointed. It helps to have an aptitude for mechanical things and be ok with an occasional tip-over accident. For me, I can cover over 20x more ground than previously, which has been a huge boost to my independence.

What a joke. For most that are in wheelchairs can't afford this!! This was not made by someone in a chair. I'll bet it was made by some lazy man!

Why would you spend more than the cost of a COMPLETE WHEEL CHAIR for a thing like this ?????

I purchased this product from the company but found it on Amazon first. For someone who has been in a wheelchair from birth, this is a godsend! It gets me everywhere I need to go in my small town and gives me independence after 30+years of relying on others. As far as price goes, it will have to be bought out of pocket. Insurance doesn't see it as "nesessity", hopefully that will change some day and they will cover it. But compare to ANY other medical device remotely this good and you will see it is not that bad for what you're getting.

Our 12 year old son has this attachment for his wheelchair and absolutely loves it! It provides him independence and ability to join with other kids :)

I would love to get this for my grandma because I️t would really help her get around and I’ve heard good things, but it’s so expensive that it’s just unrealistic because insurance won’t help with it.

After 11 months stopped working, customer service will not answer my emails. I had 3 falls because it is tippy on uneven surfaces and if you are turning too fast.I got a collapsible scooter from Spinlife which is less expensive, faster and very sturdy that will not tip over.
