It is thought that they were created in the 14th century; although, according to a local tradition, they are said to have been invented by a baker in Lanzo Torinese in 1679. Breadsticks can be offered on the tables of restaurants and pizzerias as snacks before receiving courses. They can also be wrapped with ham for a good snack. I am doing the HCG diet and I am on Phase 1 these Grissini breadsticks are the only things that are allowed that are bread related and I will say the are AWESOME ! Do not hesitate to buy these

They are long, thin and crunchy.
Used these breadsticks for HCG diet. I think they are very good. They are about pencil thickness but longer like a frozen coke straw. I have only tried the plain. I would more enjoy eating a half a bag, however, the diet only allows 2 a day.

Just okay!
The breadsticks were fine, not great. I thought they were rather pricey. I can purchase similar breadsticks at local stores much cheaper. I was doing an antipasti tray and wanted to put in center in a pretty glass .Really hoped for something special for the price.

Great snack for HCG diet
I am on the HCG diet. Only 2 "snacks" available are these breadsticks and melba toast. These, by far, are the better tasting. Shipped quickly and was a great price for what I received.
