Love this Beeswax
I have tried several different companies’ beeswax for candle making & this has been my favorite. It smells great and is a good quality product. Also it’s made here in the U.S. so even better. It is double the price of others but given its quality and the fact that it can be melted and used again (for candles) I’d say it’s definitely worth it! Ordered more today!

Excellent
So, I bought this thing... not really knowing what to do with it. It's a natural resource, obviously I can make something with it.I'm not into candle making. I'm more likely to buy Jojoba oil and essential oils. I basically used a potato pealer in order to get smaller chuncks in a ziplock bag. I just throw a beeswax 2/3rds beeswax to Jojoba oil mix, into my double boiler, making sure the temperature never goes above 200°F. As it cools, I pour it's contents into a tiny bowl, add the high, mid, and base notes to my wax melter. Makes my place smell like whatever I want. With no open flame.Then... I got to thinking... you know, I could get some Gray Bentonite Clay, Gray Kaolin Clay, maybe some Lanolin in moderation, castor oil, vegitable glycerine, shea butter... yeah. I can make a hair wax pomade, hair fiber, hair clay/putty. Without the Bentonite or Kaolin clay, it'll look shiny, with a texture. Gotta be careful with that... might look greasy from time to time. But WITH Kaolin Clay and Bentonite, you get more of a matte finish. Less texture, less shine. How much of which attribute depends on you. I've seen beeswax heavy recipes and some that ignore beeswax entirely and go 100% in with the Kaolin or Bentonite, or both. So... beeswax, and these two clays are BINDERS. They create the hold.Too much Beeswax, and you choke new hair growth. So, it can't be the only binder. You can research more on waxes... but usually find synthetic products... though BTMS-50 is good. But... usually used to make lotion. But IS used in pomades and such. But I haven't seen any negative effects on being heavy on Bentonite and Kaolin Clay. With Bentonite, you don't want it to touch ANY metal. It has some sort of effect. So, I usually just have a pot with boiling water with a heat resistant bowl inside, and use that as the double boiler. And add the Bentonite and or Kaolin clay in, as the temperature is dropping. Stir it in soon after dropping essential oils into your melted hair clay. Then, just as it's getting kinda creamy, pour into a tin, and without a lid, put it in the fridge for a few hours. Pull it out. Let it sit and go to room temperature, then put the lid on the tin, to get a desired consistency to the hair pomade, wax, fiber, clay, that you made. And it all started with this little beeswax thing... and realizing I spent $80 on 10 ounces worth of hair product. LMAO!Yeah, a small investment on a little hobby.

Melts at a bit lower temperature than normal Beeswax
Does the job. Super cheap. Best finish for wood there is, but watch out for the bees. They like it too when you melt it down. A day after, the smell is gone and so are the bees.
