Fate brought Bridgette and Brohdi together, had they find their way from there! Enjoy!
A powerful attraction happened with them, and they pursue it, while trying not to fall in love. Nope, the both fail there, and it is so good. But when Brohdi has to leave, the emotions are killers, and you will need your hanky! But Brohdi goes back to stay, after almost dying, and you just have to smile! A great story!

I adored the kid the most
What an adorable book! Although I will say that if it wasn't for Louie I probably would have given this a 3 star rating, but that kid made this book. Usually while I am reading books with kids in it all I can think is "where is the kid?" or "the kid is going to walk in on you" and while I still thought that while reading this book I feel like the single mom plot of this book was done really well. This is my 3rd book in this world and definitely my favorite. Since the previous two books that I have read by this author felt very similar I was worried that I would get that feeling with this book, but I did not. It has a lot of the same things that I have now come to expect from a Melissa Foster book (it is a pretty quick, and steamy read. Full of family, lots of friends and mid to low angst), but as far as storyline this one felt different. We get a glimpse of Bodhi in the previous book, and obviously we see a Bridgette quite a bit in the first book. To be honest I was surprised that Bridgette's book was book two; I was so sure it would be Talia or Piper (and I am a little disappointed that Piper's book doesn't appear in this series but in the next one). This book had my attention from the beginning and kept it throughout the whole book. The chemistry and tension between these two characters is through the roof. I absolutely love both MC's. Bodhi was such a cinnamon roll hero, and Bridgette felt like a real person to me. We see her raising her son alone, running a business and fall in love and it didn't feel like unrealistic or over the top at all. I loved not only seeing these two fall for each other, but also the love that Bodhi had for Louie. This book really checked all of my romance book boxes it was sweet (I mean I would take a Bodhi) ,swoony, and steamy. I'm not usually a fan of instalove, but this one did good things for my soul. I feel like this book was very low angst, there was obviously a conflict, but what I really liked was that it wasn't like this whole misunderstanding or non communication situation. What made this book a 4 star not a 5 for me was Bodhi's issue with not wanting to be in a relationship; I get his hang ups but by the end of the book I was over it. All I could think was "y'all are in love, figure it out like adults", and I also felt like the end was a little rushed. I also didn't love that this book ended in an engagement. I feel like this book showed navigating the feelings of a child who's mom is dating very well, but then for it to end an engagement after just a few moths didn't sit well. I would have much more preferred to see a happy for now especially because there is another book in the series.

Loved it!
Some military men think they should stay single, especially when they go on missions where they could die. His father didn't come home from the war. He chose a military life like his father, now as a civilian he still goes on secret missions. He's never been tempted by a woman like this before. From the moment her first met her, they had chemistry. Now he is fixing up a house for his mother to retire in. But who is his new next door neighbor, the woman he can't stop thinking about. She is a single mother, widower and a business owner. Her husband died in a car accident, leaving her to raise her son alone. It's been five years, for the first time since then she is really attracted to a man. He seems to be her new neighbor and she can't stop watching him from afar. Big muscles and sweating, when he takes his shirt off, oh my.He has a dog. And of course her son can't stay away from the dog. One day the dog bumps into her trying to bring in take out and groceries. Well the Chinese is on the ground and so is a bag of groceries. He apologises and takes the dog home, but feeling bad decides to order pizza for her. When she comes over to thank him, he answers the door with only a towel on. Flustered by her attraction to him, she says thank you and quickly retreats. But still feels he needs to buy her some groceries, next day with groceries in hand he knocks on her door. She answers in a towel, trying to get ready to go out. Later that night he runs into her at the local bar, somehow ends up dancing with her and doesn't want to stop there. Can he change his ways? Could they just have a fling, friends with benefits?

I wish I could give this book 10 stars!
So good! The spice is top notch. The story line is the best I’ve read so far this year! And ugh the heartbreak you feel for Bridgette & bodhi just makes you call like a baby!

and Melissa Foster did not disappoint. I automatically took to Bridgette in the Sugar ...
I had been waiting to read 'Only for You' the moment I was first introduced to Bridgette Dalton, and Melissa Foster did not disappoint.I automatically took to Bridgette in the Sugar Lake series as she is a woman who had once thrown caution to the wind to live out her 'happily ever after' with a musician, only to find herself return home widowed and a single Mum to her adorable little boy Louis. After years of focusing all her love, energy and grief into raising her son and creating a livelihood for herself, it is time for Bridgette to dip her toe into the pool of romance. She is instantly intrigued by Bhodi Booker, something about him captivating her thoughts and awakening her senses.Bhodi Booker is in a Special Ops team, landing in Sweetwater to renovate a property for his mother to move into whilst waiting to return to duty. It was all supposed to be straightforward until Bridgette Dalton turns out to be his neighbor.Bhodi is determined not to allow himself to fall for Bridgette beyond a few weeks of the summer, laying out the rules whilst being her knight in shining armor. Both of them skirt around each other with undeniable chemistry, both of them unsure and afraid to confess the feelings that they are developing naturally for one another.Bhodi is good with her son, respectful and willing to be there the good bits and the bad, he is protective loyal and above all honest. Bridgette is sweet, but she has a side that is crying out to be released and Bhodi is the man to unlock her.The book was entertaining, sweet and I was completely captivated by their relationship. I love how Bhodi is respectful of Bridgette's previous relationship and is easily enamored by her son. He appears to be very alpha male but on the side, he is a romance-loving softie which worked nicely against Bridgette's determined side.I adored learning more about the characters of Sweetwater and the small festivals that they partake in and I love immersing myself in their world. Everything is well written and captivating and I can't wait to read more books in the Sugar Lake series.I recommend to all romance lovers or someone who is looking to get stuck into a well-written series of books.

good read
Really enjoyable read and follow up to the first book. Bridgette I loved in the first book and she really bloomed, forgive the pun, in her own book. Bodhi was a dream of a character with some real issues, however when he admitted the connection he was all in without realising it. Loui added his childlike humour and the book written and totally engaging.
