Chemically Charged. Learn to Science!
I was introduced to this board game a while a go and it took some time for me to actually purchase it with me being unable to buy it from my LGS (Local Game Store).Me and my partner have played this a number of times now and we have a lot of fun each time! The game is visually appealing and the [optional] use of your smartphone to play is a great addition (Think the XCOM board game). There are a few downsides. We both felt that 6 rounds is not enough for the game to come to a fair conclusion. If you have never played Alchemists before, you're not going to know that you're going to have to start investing heavily pretty much straight away. This judgement has been made by only having two people playing so game length may be better with more people playing. Secondly, some aspects of the game don't ever seem to be advantageous. We noticed that we just were not using them. Again, this may be something that would be improved with more players.Overall, this game is fantastic. If you like science, problem solving and working out processes of elimination, then this is a game you're going to love!

Excellent game
A fantastic game. It has a fun theme that has been implemented superbly and the app works well and is a fun addition to the game. For those who don't want to use the app there is a manual alternative, essentially the app handles the randomiser aspect of knowing which ingredients combine to make which potion. In many ways it is quite similar mechanically to Dungeon Lords and Dungeon Petz by Czech games, with placement of workers and trying to work out what the other players need in order to get the best position. The rulebook is well written and so for my group of gamers it didn't take us too long to pick up - though it might seem daunting at first to new players.

Great game
Bought this for my wife as a birthday present and she absolutely loves it, the addition of the mobile app interaction also makes it that little bit more fun. The game is a little tactical and if you like competitive games without all the fights and arguments than this might be for you, because although you are competing against other players there is little malice and you are more focussing on your own projects and what you are trying to achieve. It’s a great game for the family because of that, you have a winner and a loser but despite the outcome i didn’t feel like there was any animosity or reason to argue with other players, unlike some of the more competitive board games out there. It’s a fun game about making potions and selling them, puzzling out different combinations and using your brain in order to win. Lots of fun little choices along the way and if you use the app (you don’t have to) then it does add a little more fun to the proceedings. I highly recommend this game for puzzle game enthusiasts or couples that want to play a game together or with friends that doesn’t cause any arguments.

Great Board Game! Highly Recommend
I bought this game after hearing a review on YouTube. The gameplay is easy to learn. It has an apprentice mode and master mode for once you've got the hang of it, we moved onto master mode after around 3 games. A lot of fun and can't wait too introduce it to more of my friends.

Mixed to perfection
I had this game on my wishlist for a while and I was able to purchase it with an amazon voucher I got for my birthday I was really excited. This game is a bit like a logic puzzle, working out which elements make up each ingredient of a potion. You collect the ingredients and then "mix" them together using the app you download on your phone to work out what each ingredient is made of. I love this game and would recommend it to anyone who wants to play a fun, thinky game.

If you've heard that this just a pretty worker placement than you've heard
If you've heard that this just a pretty worker placement than you've heard ... wrong :) The theme in this game is strong you'll quickly forget that and the deduction element will make you focus on exectly that part so worker placements becomes secondary because it fits so well with the theme.Only played with 3 players which allows everyone to not get in each other's way so there's no confrontation but if you like that there's plenty of chances to do that. I've simply not tried being the evil wizard :)

Hocus pocus
I liked this game but there's too much down time and faffing with the app. You need to play it with honest people as there's plenty of ways to cheat. What with everyone having a phone which tells you the results.I did have a few things missing from the box, I got in touch with cge and they sent me out the missing pieces quickly, excellent service.
