I bought this dosing cup as my first accessory for my Breville Barista Express to reduce coffee spillage when I grind directly into the portafilter. It does it job well though I could still make some mess when I try to level the ground coffee before tamping. Rather than buying a magnetic ring funnel which would add another step in my workflow, I buy Firjoy dosing funnel that attach to the portafiter before grinding. This allows the grinding, using wdt tool, tamping while keeping dosing funnel on and preventing any spillage. Suffice to say, I return the dosing cup and keep the funnel.

Very handy...makes dosing my shots a breeze!

The cup is sold. Owned for a month and it works. In my opinion the mouth is a little too small for a 54mm basket. There’s a good amount of wiggle and the lip is very tiny. If you plan on shaking the cup on top of the portafilter to distribute grounds there’s a good chance it’ll fall out. Maybe it’s just my issue of not being careful.I ended up 3d printing my own dose cup with a longer lip into the basket and I find it better. I would not buy this again but that is just for my own workflow. It is cleaner grinding into the cup but personally I’d get a wider mouth and longer lip.

This has really helped in my espresso routine. Much cleaner than directly grinding into basket. Also easier to way the grounds before pulling the shot. The weight of this is really good and seems like solid quality.

It fits well to my Breville Barista Espresso portafilter (54mm) and into a machine's grinder lot.It helps reduce waste of grind coffee indeed.

Overall this is a suitably made product. On the positive end it fits the inbuilt breville 54mm grinder and portafilter well, the steel / finish has held up well to hand washing and (opinion) looks a degree nicer than some of the other aluminum options. As for the negatives, it comes at a premium price but isn’t imperfect, the top lip above the tabs would benefit being a mm longer for a more secure fit and the soldering on the underside of the tabs has a few small gaps, which may cause issues after prolonged use and cleaning.

Sturdy, built well. Good quality finish. Have been using it daily with my breville barista pro.
