Really good product so easy to use

Received the product promptly as always with Amazon, it was well boxed and comes with lots of handy attachments.HOWEVER! The actual product itself is garbage. The first time I used it, it seemed to work pretty well, it’s automatically set to max which is a very powerful water siphon. It would have literally drained my 115l tank in less than 10 minutes, not useable for anything other than pulling water as you don’t have anywhere near enough time to clean anything before your tank is dry. I bought it predominantly to use as a gravel cleaner, so figured I’d turn the dial down, logical right? That’s what the feature is there for, to control the water flow. Ho boy, the slightest touch of the dial when the thing is turned on causes the whole dial to pop off. Water everywhere whilst I frantically grab the switch to turn it off. Got everything reconnected, switched the dial to between min and max, and now I get a trickle of suction at best. Not even enough to pull the floaters out of the water column. The thing won’t even work on max now either. The ‘filter’ box the hose is connected to falls off the second it gets a slight knock on the tank, cue more water everywhere whilst frantically scrambling for the off switch.In principal, this product would be excellent and efficient if it actually worked. In actuality, it’s an utter waste of money.

I use it to clean a 400 l blagdon tank.First I needed to change the hose with a more rigid one, the hose provided is too soft and when it bends stops the water flow.Luckily I had one in the bin from another crap hoover.Then I tried all provided accessories, even without. The suction is very poor. It is good to take out the water without stressing the fish. I estimate about 100 l in 15 minutes. Not bad.I am thinking now how to use it inside to refill a 200 l tank. The problem is this gizmo is working properly ONLY if the engine is submersed. Definitely you can’t use it in a canister of 20l to transfer the water in the tank.Another bad point in my opinion is the switch, is situated much too far from the main rod, you cannot touch it in one move, you need two hands and an eye on it, trying in the same time do not smash anything in the tank with the submersed engine.I will use it to take the water out. Still thinking at refilling…

I had previously bought a well recommended hand pump Syphon and my god it took us 2-3 hours everytime we wanted to do a gravel clean and part water change it was horrificly difficult. Sore this one and the video looked great but I was still sceptical but thought I'll give it a try anyway anything has got to be better than what we already have. Used it today first with out the additional hose so the water got filters back into the tank which was fantastic! Cleaned up all the fish crap within 2 minutes which we had been struggling to keep on top of with our other Syphon. And then we did a part water change and to empty the water tank 2/3s and filled it back up 2/3s within 10 minutes. Absolutely fantastic peice of kit and so so so glad I took the risk and bought it !

Really worked for me and cleaned the gravel very well. Really fast water changing. Like all of these devices you do have to adjust around the task to make the most of it but it worked for my tank and cleaned the dirt from the gravel very well -it was evident of the dirt that came out in the water and also the difference of the gravel cleanliness

Product head too bulky, probably ok if you have a very large, bare tank, return flow far too strong and unadjustable blows the dirt you're trying to clean up into the water column. Water return high up on the handle mean getting tank water everywhere whilst trying to maneuver head.I have tried in a 120l tank. Total waste of money

Wow it does what it says , just need to get use to this tube does need to be longer or get a bigger bucket lol very happy
