The book informs you of all the equipment you may need and describes types of yarn to use.Lovely photography throughout and wonderful patterns for knitting various socks. Lots of tips from starting off on a sock knitting journey with with clear photographs of each stage.Excellent value and beautiful to look through, deciding which to knit first is the hardest part!

This is The best sock pattern book easy to follow instructions, takes you through every step to make the perfect knitted sock. I would recommend this book I'm definitely making a lot more socks

Best sock book I've bought. From beginners to expert knitters

I have become addicted to knitting socks and watch the author's very enjoyable and informative podcast. Her sense of humor comes through in her writing too. Her book has great directions for making many types of heels and a large number of sock patterns and I want to make them all! (I just counted them, there are 26 patterns.) The patterns start with basic socks and move on to socks with cables, socks with colorwork, socks with fades, socks with lace and socks with slipped stitches. Most patterns use fingering weight yarn but a few use DK for when you want a chunky sock. The directions are very clear and include many photographs. A chapter on the many possible materials that can be used (needles, yarns and notions) is very helpful, as is the chapter on sizing. This is a very user friendly book and one that you will be glad to have in your knitting library.

I have quite a few sock books , but this books is in my opinion is the best. Whether you are new to sock knitting or more experienced. It is well written step by step , and plenty of patterns , 25 . Definitely recommend this book
