This unit works well. The pots on the front seem a little touchy at first, but once you get the hang of them, the unit works spendidly. Makes a GREAT bench supply for testing lower-echelon LED arrays.

TIPS: Don't forget to the check the 220/110V toggle switch in the back next to the power cable in case your power supply is acting like it's under powered. Also set the fine adjust knobs to the middle so you can adjust in either direction. Wish I would have got the 10A version now.

The coarse current knob must be turned up past 25% before you get any voltage out of the power supply. So 25% on the coarse knob is really 0% current. Even with the coarse knob at 25%, turning the fine adjustment to 100% is still not enough to get voltage out. My other power supply, outputs voltage just turning the fine current knob 10%. There's no way to just turn this power supply on, and set the voltage, without slowing having to tweak the coarse current knob, very annoying.With current set as low as possible (0.01A), I turned up the voltage to 60v and shorted the leads. I just about melted a hole in my alligator clips, there is a lot of capacitance (stored energy) in the output. This is my first time using a power supply that goes to 60v, so maybe this is par for the course for 60v power supplies? Out of curiosity I checked to see what fuse I could blow by shorting out the leads with the current set to 0.01 amps, and I was able to blow a 3 amp automotive fuse, this can't be normal.The metal part of the banana jacks are recessed into the plastic knob about 1/4", where the jacks on my other supplies are flush. This means when you plug in your test leads, they only insert half way, just to the point the they are barely starting to grip.

Seems to have better specs than what is advertised

Output voltage is only 51.8V maximum.Used outside in sunlit. Perhaps thermal protection triggered. Now I cannot get 60V output.Maybe there should be a longer burn-in time on these adjustable PSU.Information needed to adjust maximum output voltage back to 60V.

Product dead on reception so cant test this unit. Does i recommand this unit... Since my experience definitely no !
