Not what I was thinking, but fun
First thing to know about this is that it's more a game than a race car set.The pieces all magnetize together to form a track. But there is nothing to propel the cars but your own hand, and that's the game. You have to propel the car with just enough force to get it around the track. It's not easy, but it can be fun. It's a nicely engineered set, but the description lacks enough information.

Cars don't go on there own
The track magnaizes together and doesn't hold very well. I also thought the cars would get pushed by magnets or something but you have to move them by hand. It's fun for my young son but I thought it would be better. The track can get pretty big with all the pieces just thought it was cooler than what it is.

Overpriced! Had issues with the toy car!
Maybe I don't understand the concept of the race cars. I thought it was about it going around the track in the fastest time! Yet when I or another makes the car go fast by spinning the wheels, its shoots off the track. Maybe this is just to used to build tracks and test the race cars. But why call it "turbo-track racing"?! If the cars don't stay on the track when it goes fast?! My second issue is the price. Yes it's magnets and a good toy to develop creativity with kids and adults, but so is drawing on a blank sheet of paper and looking at a forest. I like the concept of connecting bridges and blocks with magnets. Its just too much for a product that is not even electric.

Fun but on the pricy side.
I bought this for my 6-year-old son and he loves it. The magnetic aspect makes it fun and easy to connect the tracks. It also allows lots of flexibility for them to design tracks of their own or follow the instruction manual. In regards to the cars, they run on gravity so there's no magnetic pull that helps propel them to go faster at any point. This is quite fun since it allows their creativity to run wild and forces them to think about gravity and speed vs turns while building their tracks. It's a bit on the pricy end, though but this appears to be consistent with similar toys.

Quality product
My five year old grandson spent a happy afternoon today building and playing with this set. The pieces included are sturdy and of excellent quality. The design guidance book is well constructed and generous in size. This is a quality product and we look forward to lots of happy experiences with the set during my grandson's visits to our home.
