Slow read
I read the book quickly but it felt like it took forever. The couple are co-dependent all the way. The fact that they have no confidence in each other is exhausting. Heβs manipulative too.

Great read but lots of drama...
I loved the first book in this series and I really enjoyed this one as well. I have to admit that I couldn't put this book down, but I definitely liked the first book better. There is A LOT of drama in this book which is understandable if it's further defining the characters' relationship, but a lot of the drama seemed unnecessary in their growth. There is so much of it by the end of the book it starts to get exhausting and a little ridiculous... almost to the point where I felt like telling the characters to just give up already, but in the end the story is just as engaging as the first and I'm glad I continued to read it. I'm surprised their story still isn't finished... the ending makes it obvious there is a third book and I'm interested to see what else the characters could possibly go through, but I hope there are some more positive moments in the next book because they are few and far between in this one. If you are looking for a warm and fuzzy romance, this isn't it, but if you are as invested in the love life of Cole and Tessa as I am, then it's a must read!

I had to first buy and read The Bad Boy's Girl (which I rated 4 STARS)
I won this as a Goodreads Kindle giveaway.... but not realizing it was a sequel (well, actually the second in a trilogy), I had to first buy and read The Bad Boy's Girl (which I rated 4 STARS). So this is is a review for both of those books. I have to say I really enjoyed the first book.... I loved watching the relationship develop between Tessie and Cole. Tessie was teased by Cole when she was younger, then he moved away and her ex-best friend picked up teasing her. why? the obvious reasons is because she is (was) overweight and clearly not a confident person. At some point she loses the weight and Cole comes back to her school by senior year. He then becomes her protector, and so much more.A few things I didn't understand.... Cole dumping green dyed water over Tessa's head when she goes to drop off papers at his house... then he claims he didn't recognize her and immediately helps her dry off. He knew it was her, so why the silly games still? While I liked the second book too, I thought the story was sometimes lacking in this one. The whole road trip with friends was weird and being reunited with her mom felt forced. I also didn't understand the teasing in bullying once she was in college. Brown isn't a huge football college, who on campus would even know that Cole was a football player? It's been a while since I was in college, but I don't think college kids are that shallow.I will read the third book in the trilogy though.. I need to know how their story ends.

Who doesn't love a BAD BOY at some point in your life?
It was different than I expected. It really had the Bad Boy being a jerk and the cruelty was startling. Definitely NOT for under 17 with the abusive action and the bullying. The Story line explained WHY they reacted as they did, but it was still a little hardcore. You had to love the characters the way the author wove their history into the story. It was a good read if your kept your perspective. Not for every reader. A good read for an open minded reader. A love story with a twist.

Downward spiral
I loved the 1st book in this series. It was a 5 star read for me. I was extremely excited for this book but alas it left a lot to be desired.1st. The editing was horrible! I stopped trying to count the mistakes.2nd. The story really didn't "grow" at all. A year later and Cole and Tessa are still going on about the same insecurities...it's mind numbing.3rd. I'm not even sure I will be reading book 3 when it comes out because I don't think I can take anymore without screaming!!!

Uhhh what?
First of all, how could there be such a cliffhanger of this magnitude? I don't agree with the way the entire college situation was handled. Even if Cole was trying to protect Tessa he could've at least warned of what he was planning. In my honest opinion, communicated was lacking for this couple and that is one of the most important factors in any relationship. What happened was that it got into Coles head to "pretend " breakup with Tessa to calm the groupies at the college only he did it from out of nowhere on ESPN! Without any warning! I understand he thought he was doing the right thing, but it completely backfired and caused people to target her more and then the book just ends! I really hope the next installment is coming and Tessa and Cole come together without any outside influences ripping their relationship apart.

COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN
COULD NOT PUT THESE BOOKS DOWN! I was introduced to this story through the app Episode and looked it up and found the original story and realized it had been published. I didn't hesitate to order both books 1 and 2 and I simply could not stop reading them once I started. I read book 1 and this book in 2 days and was dying for book 3. I know it's available on Wattpad, but I wish it could hurry up and get published in other formats.

Endings?!
I love these books, like literally can not put them down once I pick them up. I love the back and forth between Cole and Tessa. And especially her inner monologues but the endings kill me... itβs like they finish half way through the book!
