Hush plugz are always consistent, they block out noise well. I've used them for years, often tried others to compare them but always come back to hush plugz. I've worn them overnight for years, and don't think I could sleep without them now. I live on a busy street with lots of traffic and they drown the noise out well yet I still here my alarm (although it's faint) and have never slept in. You do need to put them in correctly though. Roll them lengthways until they are really thin, slip into your ear canal and hold your finger over the opening until they fully expand and you hear sounds disappear.
