It’s perfect
The media could not be loaded. I’m so glad I invested a little more on this fountain that is both solar powered with the battery backup. It was rainy and cloudy all day yesterday but my fountain never stopped! I’m using the adapter that allows the smallest fountain for my hummingbirds but the cardinals love it too. All the other spray options work great and spray pretty high. My hanging bird bath is only about 2” deep and 9.5” wide, it works great and the water stays in! I trimmed down the little side anchors that keeps it centered. Love it a lot!Edited to add: to get this flow I used NONE of the attachments and it gives a nice subtle water flow just enough to get the water moving and attract the birds while not having to worry about water going outside of the bird bath. Read above on size of my hanging bird bath. Soon as I get a bigger bird bath Im buying another and will use the attachments, they all work great, just spray too high for this one.

It emptied the bird bath
I have tried three of the nozzles so far. All it does is empty the bird bath. I have a concrete bird bath by the way and it holds about a gallon of water. Maybe it is not deep or big enough? It definitely works as soon as I put it in the water. But even if it is anchored in the middle in the couple of hours the water is gone. I will try the other nozzles but I don’t have much hope.If I had a child’s wading pool it would probably be perfect. If I do anything that works for me I will edit this review.Three stars for the fact it seems well made and works as described..just isn’t working well for me.Edit: I have found that the nozzle that’s sprays four streams of water out to the sides is the one to use for my purposes. I also cut some new straws so that it cannot move in the basin. The result is that it works (even if the sun isn’t out).It took some fiddling around but I can now say it is doing what it should and I am very glad I bought it.The straws keeping it in the middle are what was needed. The ones that came with the fountain weren’t quite long enough to do the job.I am now saying 4.5 stars. Mainly because I had to do so much fiddling around lol.

Way better than expected!
I'm very impressed with this little fountain. The instant it hit the water, it started spraying - no charge time needed. It does float, so it will move around in your birdbath or water feature. I initially used the straws to keep it from getting too close to the edges of the birdbath, but eventually removed them and put rocks around it to keep it in place.I started with the narrow pattern high spray, but as soon as even a minimal breeze came up, the water was landing out of the bird bath, so I switched to head to the low pattern which sprays off to the side. The birds were completely freaked out at first. I guess desert birds aren't used to seeing running water. It was almost comical the way they would hang a U turn in mid air as they were flying in to the old watering hole. Some would sit in the tree looking at this new intruder suspiciously, then fly away. A couple of brave ones would sit on the side of the bath, hop around looking in the water, then fly away without even taking a drink. After a few days, they acclimated to it, and now all is right with the world. Today, there was even a hummer dancing around in the fountain spray. The filter does seem to clog in about a week, even though I gave the bath a thorough scrubbing before putting the fountain in, and using an enzyme to prevent algae growth. I just give the filter a spray with the hose when I'm spraying the debris out of the bath, not a big deal. All in all, a nice little fountain, and you don't need to worry about setting up a solar panel in the yard and running a cord to it. The battery backup keeps it spraying (though not at full power) even when the sun is low, or clouds are moving overhead. Highly recommended.

It stopped working after 2 days
I was SUPER excited the first day as it seem to work great. After two days it barely sprays any water no matter how much sun there is. It says it works on cloudy days but it doesn’t even work on sunny days. It also claims to have a built-in 2000 battery backup but it doesn’t :(

Love It!!
The media could not be loaded. This thing is great!! I’ve only had it a few days but so far it’s exceeded my expectations. I didn’t have high hopes because my bird bath doesn’t receive full sunlight all day. But it works just fine - even on a mildly cloudy day! And the birds freakin LOVE this thing. Within an hour of setting it up droves of them were coming to check it out. I have never really seen blue jays or mockingbirds at the bath previously but now i have a few of them visiting several times a day. The funniest are the four sparrow fledglings that spend most of every morning playing with it - just like kids at a water park! They take turns jumping into the shower and getting a good dousing and now they’ve figured out they can ride on it too LOl! A few things to consider;1. How deep is your bird bath? Mine is a good 2.5 to 3 inches. A shallow bird bath may not work as well with this.2. If the wind blows heavily or the fountain isn’t anchored and drifts to one side you may run out of water quickly. I had to play with it a bit - I don’t like using the stabilizers because they leave little room for the birds to bathe. I tried all the different spray patterns and occasionally used rocks to keep it in the best spot. In the end I found a nozzle that works well and keeps the water in the bath without needing anchors.3. I think this thing is supposed to light up at night. I haven’t really seen that yet - maybe it’s because it’s summer and the days are so long that it runs out of stored power long before it’s fully dark. This wasn’t a feature I really cared about so I don’t miss it but if you do keep that in mind.I’ve already got more enjoyment out of this thing than I ever expected - well worth the price!

Works well but.....
Have had this item for almost three months. A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that the backup battery is no longer working. Now it only works in the daytime. Very disappointed in battery life, but still a nice addition to my birdbath.

Good
So far so good. Works well. The battery capacity makes a difference by storing solar energy so it keeps working. Have had it for 2 days now.

Only worked for 3 weeks.
Product worked well for three weeks. Now does not work at all. We had this manufacturer’s non-battery backup version in the past and it worked well. Purchased this version as bird bath could not be in full sun all day. Missed product return window by 2 days so into the garbage it goes.
