Nora Goes Off Script: The unmissable summer romance for fans of Beth O'Leary and Rosie Walsh!

The best romance novel I read this summer.
I am not into reading romantic novels but this one I really liked. Like all romance novels, the storyline is almost predictable. While reading it, you will feel like you are dreaming, just like Nora thought when she found out that a movie star, Leo, is going to stay for a week in her tea house. Nora, a scriptwriter, has written about her recent divorce and it's been made into a movie starring Leo and Naomi. The director decides to shoot it at the exact location where it all happened (the tea house - Nora's house ).While Leo comes off as a handsome douche bag who thinks his charm attracts everyone including Nora and her two kids. He is right but he also slowly falls in love with the beautiful sunrise that comes up early morning at the tea house. Soon he is staying for more than a week after the crew leaves. He starts helping Nora with groceries, Nora's son Arthur in his school play, spends quality time with Nora's daughter, makes plans with Nora's close friends. And then one day when he gets a call for a big movie shoot, he leaves quickly promising he will come back because he loves Nora. Will he return to confirm Nora that it's not a dream, that it's not another breakup like Ben but a real love? The storyline glides through like a wonderful dream. I enjoyed the unpredictable twists in the story. I felt like Nora's best friend wishing everything turns out like a perfect love story. It's the kind of summer read you would love to take with you on a trip, reading on a plane or while sitting on a beach, or enjoying on a rainy day.

Sharp as a whip and endearing to its core, this delightful rom-com is the book for summer.
“…the best things come back. Sometimes it’s right after the commercial, sometimes it takes longer. But time and sunshine bring growth, and life unfolds just the way it’s supposed to.”As a romance channel screenwriter, Nora Hamilton knows the formula for love better than anyone. But when her husband leaves her and their two kids, Nora turns the collapse of her marriage into the best script of her life which is picked up for the big screen and set to film on location at her picturesque Hudson Valley home. The morning after the crew leaves, Nora finds world-famous Hollywood actor and former 'Sexiest Man Alive' Leo Vance, who is cast as her ex-husband, on her porch with a half-empty bottle of tequila and a proposition. He’ll pay a thousand dollars a day to stay for an extra week. Seven days: it’s the blink of an eye or an eternity, depending on how you look at it. It’s enough time to fall in love. Enough time to break your heart…Nora Goes Off Script is crazy cute and fabulously funny. That there happens to be a mom driven wild by her two kids is what balances the mush. I love how Annabel Monaghan has written her characters. As much as the whole thing sounds like a fantasy you’d cook up in your dreams (which the author probably did), she makes it sound totally believable.Sharp as a whip and endearing to its core, this delightful rom-com is the book for the summer. I only wish I could read it again for the first time. This ARC courtesy of NetGalley and Hodder & Stoughton. For complete review, visit aquamarineflavours.wordpress.com

Superb!
I absolutely adore this author. All of her books have been such a delight to read. This book is no exception- truly witty, romantic, with enough realness to keep you hooked. You’ll love it! 😍

Annabel is my new favourite author!
I loved this book! I read it all in one night because I couldn’t put it down.I’ve subsequently purchased her other two books. They are well written and sometimes hilarious but other times poignant. Characters are well developed and relatable.

Don't let its thin spine fool you, you cannot miss this book!!
Short and still so refreshing! I went into this book thinking it would be a fun time, a somewhat palette clenser seeing how short and light the description of it was, and I did not expect for one second for it to have a hold on me like it was! while I did not think of it at the beginning, since their first meeting was rather swift and casual, I loved Nora and Leo's relationship, the bond he establishes with her children, and the beautiful descriptions that the author kept throwing about the scenery, the sunrise, and the main character's deep, inside thoughts. Nora was a fantastic character, and seeing her many facets as mother, divorced, writer, and just a woman who is trying to re-find who she is after loosing herself to someone else's views. I really enjoyed my first Annabel Monaghan book, and I can bet it won't be my last!!
