Great for relieving pressure on hips and shoulders, when sleeping on your side, especially for bursitis sufferers. I bought the single size and laid it on top of a good quality, soft, super-king mattress, so didn't anticipate much improvement. But I was pleasantly surprised and noticed improvement to pain levels after a couple of nights, but I can't comment on whether this would be as effective on top of a hard mattress. Good quality, proper 'memory foam' with branded 'Coolmax' zipped cover and quality bag with wheels. Very slight smell to foam, but not too bad. Slightly heavier to carry than I'd like, but easy with wheeled bag. A little warm at night, probably due to the foam, but difficult to be sure, so I put another sheet folded double over the top to protect topper and cover and to keep cooler, which worked well enough. Probably wouldn't be able to get a fitted sheet deep enough to go over mattress and topper, but who cares when pain is relieved! Topper does move a little with use, so if placed at the edge of a bed you may find it slips off the bed a little and need to move it back each day. Pillow OK but unnecessary for me. Would highly recommend - good value for the set compared to buying items separately. Will be fantastic for holidays on hard beds - I hope!
